Wheels up with this little girl today!
We are off for me to speak at a pregnancy center fundraiser in Detroit tonight, then a men’s conference Saturday outside of Greensboro and then Sunday services at First Baptist Roanoke.
It’s gonna be a busy stretch of ministry over the next four days, but I’m looking forward to serving the local church and making memories with my little girl along the way.

Today, N.C. Baptist staff from across the state gathered as one team 🙌
Thank you to @mikepassaro for leading us in worship and @DanielRitchie for reminding us that the gospel sustains us, comes at a cost and drives our mission.

Such encouraging news. Steve has led Faith Baptist well, Southeastern well, and served North Carolina Baptist convention well.
Prayerful that he will get the opportunity in November to continue to Shepherd the state convention in a Christ honoring way.
Steven Wade, lead pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville and a professor of pastoral theology at SEBTS in Wake Forest, will be nominated for president of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina during this year’s N.C. Baptist annual meeting.

We have to get to the point where our Bible is THE guiding light of our life and not just a book we bring to church on Sundays.
What happens when 600 ministry leaders gather with one goal: helping more people hear the good news of Jesus?
I got to serve alongside Georgia Baptist Convention last week at their SPARK Conference, and I left incredibly encouraged.
We spent time talking about both the WHY and the HOW of evangelism.
Because knowing how to share the gospel matters.
But before we ever get to the how, we have to wrestle with the why.
People need more than a gospel presentation sitting in their back pocket. They need hearts that are burdened for the people God has placed around them. They need the courage to step into a conversation, ask a question, listen to someone’s story, and point them to Jesus.
The goal isn’t simply to equip Christians to know what to say.
It’s to cultivate a heart that is willing to say something.
We expect teens to learn algebra, chemistry, biology, history and foreign languages.
Yet, we think theology is too complicated for them.
Don't underestimate teens or the Holy Spirit working in their life. Give them deep truth. Give them Scripture. Give them Jesus - and watch God shake a generation.
“Pastors” like Joel Webbon, Dale Partridge and Michael Spangler are racist, conflict entrepreneurs.
They aren’t pastors, they’re charlatans.
A group of pastors has merged the hyper-masculinity of the manosphere with old-school segregationist ideas and outrage commerce.

There’s so many things that I have done today already that the world thinks I can’t do because of my disability:
- Fed the kids breakfast
- Drove the kids to school
- Went to the gym and worked out
- Typing out multiple sermons
The line between “I can’t” and “That’s difficult” is and always has been dependence on the grace and strength of God. So much of my life may be a challenge, but I can keep going because He leads me to it and He leads me through it.
If your “pastor” ever says this….you’re in a cult.
"I'm not saying your husband should SLAP YOU DOWN, but if your husband slaps you down and you call the cops, YOU'RE EVIL...What an evil broad. What an evil woman."
Pastor Steven Anderson of FWBC, after condemning a wife using a camera or recorder to record instances of marital rape and/ or physical abuse, explains the wickedness of calling the cops on one's spouse, and insists that anyone who disagrees with him can leave.
You don’t have to understand everything God is doing to trust that He is good.
I know that because I’ve lived long enough to have questions God hasn’t answered.
But I’ve also lived long enough to see that His faithfulness doesn’t depend on my understanding.
Don’t go to church today merely looking for something that makes you feel better.
Go looking for God.
Open His Word.
Sing His praises.
Hear the gospel.
Encourage His people.
Leave ready to obey Him.
I have had plenty of opportunities along the way to wish my circumstances were different. Contentment doesn’t come from saying I love my circumstances.
Contentment doesn’t even come when hard times slow down. It comes when Jesus becomes enough.
You may not be able to change your circumstances today but you can trust the One who never changes.
Jesus is enough - even in hard places.
