This is telling from such a strong supporter of Israel and obviously right about Ben Gvir and Smotrich, but hard to see how anyone will really believe a page has been turned if Netanyahu remains PM.
I said I wasn’t going to weigh in on who should be prime minister of Israel as that is a decision for Israeli citizens. I did, however, want to share one point of view from the perspective of someone who has an understanding of how Israel is perceived in America. Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich have caused Israel enormous reputational damage with their statements and actions which are presented in the global media as representing the voice and will of all Israelis. As such, a government formed without Ben-Gvir and Smotrich will send a message to the rest of the world that Israel is turning a new page. This will allow Israel to rebuild lost credibility, increase the opportunity for an expansion of the Abraham Accords, and enjoy a better relationship with Democrats and Republicans and Americans at large.

This shouldn't be difficult. @RaheemKassam is a poisonous, nasty piece of work. He shouldn't be within one hundred miles of a mainstream political party.
‘Is calling Kemi Badenoch a “Nigerian scammer” racist, yes or no?’ ‘…I’m not on your show to talk about what a journalist has tweeted.’ Reform's Robert Jenrick refuses to engage with @Lewis_Goodall's question about Raheem Kassam's comments on the Tory leader.

You still hosting that show in Iran's Press TV Chris?
As the horror of Israel's barbarity continues, establishment figures like Robert Shrimsley indulge in grotesque mental gymnastics to weaponise anti-Semitism to undermine valid criticism. But despite their best endeavours, these Israel apologists are fighting a losing battle.

I’m assuming this screenshot is genuine. The fact that someone like this holds an official UN post explains why it is impossible to trust the UN when it observes or comments on Israel. This is a great sadness and makes establishing truth vastly harder.

This is an enthusiastic summary of my point, but for clarity I actually don’t predict this will happen, I say the big question is whether we will be asked to do this.
The UK will have to join the euro if we want to rejoin the EU, predicts Daniel Finkelstein. “The euro means that we can't back out again, and they may want that.” 🗳️ How To Win An Election 🎧 pod.fo/e/67642c @Dannythefink | @HugoRifkind

Tony Blair on Gaza: There is talk of free Palestine, but for Palestinians living in Gaza, they don't need a slogan; they need a solution. To be free, Gaza must live in peace with its neighbors and with itself. And this cannot happen if it's governed by those who use Gaza as a base for war against a neighbor it has no chance of defeating.

I had the privilege of visiting @wienerlibrary, one of the world’s leading archives on the Holocaust and Nazi era. Thank you to Co-Directors Dr Barbara Warnock and Dr Christine Schmidt @ChristineErinWL for showing me around its remarkable collection. Among the items I saw were The Poisonous Mushroom, an antisemitic children’s book, the Nazi-era antisemitic board game Juden Raus, and the diaries and documents of Philipp Manes, who was imprisoned in Theresienstadt. These deeply disturbing items show how antisemitism was deliberately spread and normalised, reaching even into the books children read and the games they played. We must never stop challenging antisemitism and prejudice wherever we see it. Philipp Manes life story: hmd.org.uk/resource/philipp-…

The People’s Front against Judea splits with the Anti-Judean People’s Front.
I have tonight resigned from the Workers Party of Britain because I profoundly disagree with the decision to stand in the Holborn and St Pancras by-election. I have a huge amount of respect for George Galloway, but I believe we should get behind Zack Polanski on this occasion. My firm view is that the left must collaborate to defeat the Labour Party, Reform UK, Conservatives and Lib Dems because these parties are all in the pocket of the neoliberal Zionist war machine. Zack is best placed to do that in this by-election. I commend Zack's recognition that the govt can intervene in the economy to create a good society because it issues the currency. I applaud his position on the so-called war on drugs, which has absolutely failed. I salute his pragmatic and compassionate analysis of illegal immigration.  And I commend his assessment of the criminal justice system. I do have some differences on a small set of issues, most notably their current pro-EU and pro-NATO stances, but my view is that we should agree where we agree, which is on most things, and simply have fraternal disagreements where we don’t.
