HEIPANG INLAND DRY PORT: UNLOCKING PLATEAU STATE’S ECONOMIC POTENTIAL
The journey to making the Heipang Inland Dry Port a reality marks a significant milestone in Plateau State’s drive towards economic growth, investment, and prosperity. A legacy project gazetted in 2006, the facility is now taking a major step towards fulfilling its promise under a new investment partnership.
Strategically located near the airport, railway line, and road network, the facility is positioned to become a major logistics and trade hub, serving Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria, and beyond. Its potential is further strengthened by emerging industrial activities in the area, including agro-processing initiatives and export-oriented ventures.
Beyond its infrastructure, the Inland Dry Port represents opportunities for job creation, private-sector investment, improved trade facilitation, and expanded economic opportunities for Plateau’s people.
With the Plateau State Government committed to creating an enabling environment for investors and supporting the project’s development, the focus now shifts from this milestone to the full commencement of operations and the long-term benefits it can deliver.
This is more than the revival of a legacy project; it is a step towards positioning Plateau State as a strategic destination for commerce, logistics, and industrial development.
This is what we mean by turning potential into prosperity. For 18 years, Heipang Dry Port was just a forgotten project, but Gov @CalebMutfwang had the vision to revive it.
Real investment coming. This is an economic transformation. Visionary leadership indeed.
Plateau State needs Governance, not drama. Unity, infrastructure, human development and peace should be the priority, not distractions.
Gov @CalebMutfwang is on the right path
Let's vote him for continuity

@CalebMutfwang Lead, we follow
Governor @CalebMutfwang's impact is recognized even by his opposition. Plateau State has been witnessing advancement in all ramifications since his emergence
Plateau State Governor, His Excellency, @CalebMutfwang, has called for deeper collaboration between the Plateau State Government and First Bank of Nigeria to accelerate economic development, particularly in agriculture, mining, energy and rural development.
On behalf of Barkin Ladi Constituency, thank you Your Excellency Gov. @CalebMutfwang for flagging off the 41km Bisichi–Fan–Mangu Halle Road
From laterite to full asphalt, you have given us a road that will ease suffering, connect 3 senatorial zones and boost our farmers
Criticism is democracy. We welcome it. But selective amnesia is not accountability.
Some of you are very quick to catalogue everything you think Governor Mutfwang has gotten wrong.
Fair enough. The Government should be scrutinised.
But when the same government said to cleared inherited UBEC obligations, commits over ₦10bn to basic education, renovates over 1,200 classrooms and puts 1,500 teachers into schools, somehow none of that makes the conversation…
Criticism is fine but you see Selective memory? We all know what we are doing!!
Development is deliberate. When critics laughed at the MoUs, this administration stayed focused. Now the results are speaking, revival of legacy assets like Hill Station Hotel, renewed investor confidence, and real opportunities for our people. This is how to rebuild Plateau.
Replying to @ManshakLawson

I was excited when the renovations began, and I’m even more thrilled to see it completed. Projects like this create jobs, support local businesses, and give tourism in Plateau another boost. A welcome development for Jos! @CalebMutfwang
PEACE IS RETURNING TO PLATEAU
Gov @CalebMutfwang understood that you cannot build roads when graves are still being dug.
That is why he is making efforts to ensure that peace is restored
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY
Under Gov @CalebMutfwang Plateau is no longer in the valley. As he said, "We have not yet reached the mountaintop, but we are no longer in the valley."
Plateau is rising again. There is reason to celebrate.
God bless Plateau State
