Today I inaugurated the school I dreamed of 3 years ago and created the Basketball academy. Walking into a classroom, I saw kids who last year had 0 future. It hit me, I actually changed lives (beyond helping ppl reach the top shelf items) Thanks everyone #FreeEducation – at Arusha, Tanzania

Inizio io: Allen Iverson Carmelo Anthony Reggie Miller Steve Nash Grant Hill

1/8 🧠 What are the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying the rapid antidepressant effects of Stanford Neuromodulation Therapy (SNT)? Our new paper is out in @molpsychiatry thread on what happens in the brain across 90,000 pulses and 5 days of treatment. 🧵

7/8 Therapeutic iTBS may not work by simply producing “more excitation.” Repeated stimulation may recruit cumulative, state-dependent plasticity that rebalances a dysregulated circuit. The usual excitatory/inhibitory labels may be too simplistic for prefrontal stimulation.

1/6 🍄 What happens in the brain under psilocybin? I’m excited to share our new preprint: “Brain-wide reconfiguration of burst firing by psilocybin reveals 5-HT2A-dependent circuit dynamics.” biorxiv.org/content/10.64898… #Psilocybin #Psychedelics #Neuroscience #OpenScience

5/6 These findings point to altered thalamic gating as a potential circuit mechanism of the psychedelic state: the key signal may lie not in how much neurons fire, but in how they fire. 💻 Code: github.com/Davi1990/psilocyb…

Mental health is health! My friend Alessandra made a powerful documentary on bipolar disorder, and I was lucky to be part of it. Watch, like, comment, and help share, every interaction counts. Awareness grows when we look and listen #MentalHealth youtu.be/FTYI4uXNd0s?si=DCeE…

Today we highlight @DaveMomi for his work to support education access: "I built a school and basketball academy for orphaned children in Tanzania, ensuring their dreams don’t vanish for lack of opportunity. Education and sport are vital for every child’s chance at success."

Does the brain’s state before stimulation shape its response? 🧠⚡ Check out our latest preprint 👇 biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… w/ @GRabuffo @MariannaAngiol1 @FukaiTomoki @GustavoDeco @PierpaSorre
🧠⚡️Brain stimulation is powerful, yet its effects are notoriously variable: identical parameters can produce very different outcomes. In our new preprint, we show how the brain’s state before stimulation helps explain and reduce this variability. 1/n doi.org/10.1101/2025.09.18.6…

New preprint alert 🧠 Ever wondered how the cortex and hippocampus communicate during health and what changes during disease? With @DrBreaky and an amazing team, we built the first geometry-aware model of cortico-hippocampal interactions to answer this. [biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…]
