Good news for families - every child aged 5-15 in England will travel free on buses this summer, with unlimited journeys, no registration required, and no cost to families. Our economic plan is the right one. Tackling the cost of living and building a stronger Britain.

The free bus travel for children aged 5-15 in England applies only from 1-31 August on participating local buses, not the entire summer. gov.uk/government/new… bbc.com/news/articles/…

5,000 social homes. 10,000 fewer families on the waiting list. And the 25% local letting policy back to make sure social homes go to local residents. @CllrSirajIslam built his record on housing. Here’s what he’ll deliver as Mayor. 🎥 #TowerHamlets #VoteLabour

Council tenants shouldn’t face rent rises they can’t plan for. Labour will cap council rent increases at 2.5% a year and freeze rents for tenants on London Living Rent. Fairer rents. More security. A better deal for tenants. Find all our pledges: thlabour.org/manifesto26

Our home care workers are the unsung heroes of our community. They risked their own safety to care for the needy & the vulnerable during Covid. This is why my Manifesto pledges to protect them by implanting @unisontheunion migrant care workers charter.

Three years ahead of schedule we've delivered on our manifesto commitment to deliver 8,500 more mental health workers in the NHS. That means more support, quicker and closer to home. This Labour Government is keeping its promise to rebuild the NHS 🌹💙

This is progress in every direction. Made possible by the extraordinary efforts of NHS staff, supported by the investment and modernisation we've made to turn the health service around. A great deal done and much more to do.

Today, 500 more free breakfast clubs are opening for 140,000 primary school children across the country. We're determined to bear down on the cost of living. This support alone will save parents up to £450 while giving them more time to get to work. Labour is on your side.

From today, TH residents are paying 5% more in Council Tax. That is despite £39 million more grant from the Labour Govt and is on top of 5% hikes in each of the past 2 years. In total, Aspire's Lutfur Rahman has increased CT by nearly 20% since 2022 despite promising to freeze it

On top of the extra £39 million grants the Labour Govt has given Tower Hamlets Council for '26/27 it is now being allowed to keep a further £10 million Business Rates and will get a £2.7 million more grant. In this context there is no excuse for Mayor Rahman's 5% Council Tax hike
