Supporters will say that as jobs in prison go then this is as 'cushy' as it gets, & isn't physical such as making licence plates or breaking rocks but it is a VERY weird job for prisoners to have. That they get exploited by the American industrial prison complex is unsurprising.
Incarcerated people in Oklahoma are working in call centers... and sometimes they make calls on behalf of conservative super PACs. They described doing as many as 800 calls a day, facing performance quotas, and delivering conservative scripts they didn't fully understand. All they make is $2/hour, while the Department of Corrections gets $10/hour. We need to close the slavery loophole in the 13th amendment. Aside from the fact that it's immoral to exploit incarcerated people for what's basically slave labor, these call centers generate a lot of profit. There are plenty of Americans who can do those jobs for a living wage. They shouldn't have to compete with a captive population who's coerced to take a small fraction of what the labor is really worth.

More than a few people are profiting more than usual under this crooked Trump administration when government contracts are given but Scott Bessent being a gaslighting cunt doesn't think it's important that the cost of building a prison has been ludicrously artificially inflated.
Q: If the administration has declared on waste and fraud, could you explain the $420 million overpayment for a prison in Appleton, MN, when they company offered it to the state for $75m? BESSENT: I don't know anything about that. That's a waste of our time.

The likes of Sacha Baron Cohen out there getting people to make complete idiots of themselves by nudging them, a little forcefully, into a certain direction but then there are people who are doing it willingly & absolutely out of their own free will. 😬🤷🏻‍♂️ teapawt.org/anoncatanoncat/status/…

It's already gone from cinemas in the UK after a deliberately VERY limited release schedule of just ONE week so if you want to watch it then you have to pay premium prices...or wait a couple of years before it hits free-to-air TV. Me? Not fussed. Slate run their rule over it...

If anyone was wondering if there is an inevitable biopic then yes, there is with Shonda Rimes doing one for Netflix called "Inventing Anna" with Julia Garner playing her. It's a boom time for portraying female villains, fictional or real these days. 😗😏 teapawt.org/BeccMoore/status/13778…

"YCSE" fever has spread to the UK but we have to wait a month to see it in cinemas. Remember folks! It's close to three hours long! I suspect there'll be a few ladies dressing as Elizabeth Holmes for Halloween. 👀😬🤣😱
Everything and more. Due to incredible demand, we're now on sale with more locations and extra shows of #YouCanSeeEverything 👀 At Cineworld in ONE MONTH, Nov 20. 🔗 bit.ly/CWYouCanSee

**COUGH** When you see a mad eyed blonde in a black turtleneck speaking in an inflection & tone that most women don't speak then it's Elizabeth Holmes. When you see a mad eyed blonde making a face &/or wearing too much makeup then it's probably a typical MAGA/Republican woman.
Every Halloween party in LA this weekend:

How is anybody going to make money out of the Manchester United US stock? Aren't they STILL over $600 MILLION in debt thanks to the Glazers?
1
The debt built up by the Glazers still hangs over Manchester United. It seems that in terms of Manchester football clubs then you can never be too fat or too thin.
Just a reminder that £40m came out Man Utd's transfer budget to pay off interest on the Glazers debt & £63.5m went on land for a new stadium. £103.5m that could've got us a good LB and CB this summer went elsewhere because of the shambles ownership at this club btw.. This ownership dumping their debt on us, is restraining us every single summer. Everyone knew we needed a ST, LB and CB in summer.. even Carrick asked for these positions. Don't forget that! #GlazersOut

American owners of Premier League clubs mostly being right wing dickheads is probably not that surprising. Some might say it is simply better to court Trump than be against him. We'll see if Donald & his enablers rig the November midterm elections sufficiently in their favour.
💰NEW: Manchester United director Edward Glazer has donated $200,000 to Trump’s Republican Party ahead of the midterms, @CityAM can reveal. Owners at Palace, Villa, Bournemouth and Ipswich (as well as Boehly) have given cash ahead of Tuesday’s vote, too. cityam.com/manchester-united…

A modern-day police procedural take on ‘THE GREAT GATSBY’ is in the works at NBC. The series follows Jay Gatsby, a charming investigator with a gift for reading human behavior, and Nicole “Nicky” Carraway, a cop with dreams of becoming a writer. (Source: Deadline)

"The Wall"!? I am very bored of quiz shows with padding the show out in 'cash building' particularly with 'luck based elements'. In this case, it's a giant pachinko machine. The questions are easy enough & the contestant is mildly insufferable as she shouts at the balls dropped.

"The Finish Line" is gimmicky as any other recent BBC game show & is equally as dreadful, & the canned applause (if there was an audience then they'd show them!) doesn't help. bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001pwb…

"Hamilton" has arguably been the most popular example of 'colourblind casting' & some productions out there have taken up the proverbial baton. The logic within its world has to work as much as we have to suspend our disbelief. Interesting times ahead. teapawt.org/Variety/status/1322116…

SLIGHTLY OFF-TOPIC: Well...it's only ONE production & it's not the be-end & end-all as there'll be plenty of takes on Cleopatra over the years including Gal Gadot taking a pop at it if that movie ever gets made. teapawt.org/Variety/status/1649246…

NOT TOTALLY UNRELATED... Cleopatra movies that never got made. Never easy logistically for whatever reason AND always expensive to make. "Carry on Cleo" famously borrowed unused costumes & sets from the infamous "Cleopatra" (1963) which was very handy for them, in Pinewood. 😅
Martin Scorsese‘s “Cleopatra” never came to fruition, and he says the Angelina Jolie-starrer was nixed because of Seth Rogen and the Sony hack. “We were gonna do Cleopatra at one point, and then they made fun of [Kim Jong Un], and he got mad and blew up everybody at Columbia,” Scorsese said. variety.com/2026/film/news/m…

**COUGH** Each to their own but their movies don't seem to show any form of promiscuity although you have to laugh about the other rules or caveats that their movies must not contain. 👀😬🫣 teapawt.org/i/trending/21158443428…

NOT TOTALLY UNRELATED... There's self-censorship as to what you don't want to see on screen but then there's government-enforced censorship as they enforce what you can't see on screen.
Watching face sitting is now punishable by up to 2 years in prison. Just another day on Normal Island.

I've missed a few complete outsiders winning but like most punters, they'd like a general pointer as to a likely winner...you could say that you'd have loved a heads up about um, Heads Up winning at 10/1 earlier on at Down Royal in a four runner race. sportinglife.com/racing/resu…

My best guess is that some people thought that as Mbappe was turning up that some thought he was told he won so there was an 'informed gamble' based on that but Harry Kane becomes the first Englishman since Michael Owen 25 years ago to win the Ballon d'Or. bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

**COUGH** Of course, some people 'in the know' predicted the top five correctly. Some may say that a Kane/Mbappe/Yamal 1-2-3 finish was fairly easy to guess based on the betting odds, & some may say Rodri & Messi to round out the top five were as well. msn.com/en-gb/news/other/sus…

Matthew Weiner is no longer involved with the drama series “The Chairman” that is currently in development at Peacock, with Eddie Murphy attached to star. According to sources, creative differences between Weiner and the show’s producers caused them to part ways. variety.com/2026/tv/news/mat…

The 'digital remastering' is amazing & when it's not on display, it's strange looking. 'Frasier' on the other hand hasn't fared so well.

For those wondering what's on Tuesday evenings on CBS then it's not their typical programming as they have a couple of anniversary shows. Grim. I assume Byron had to pay to have it on at 9pm but CBS may occasionally give him a freebie &/or at the very least, 'discounted rates'.

I would have to prepare 'properly' but one of these days, I'd love a go at a 96oz steak challenge. 👀🥩🤤 Yes, you do have to eat all the fat (that's the best part!) & gristle to complete it as well. youtu.be/sloGbrIfdZE
2
I hadn't realised how big 96oz of steak actually was. Had a 914g steak (just over 2lbs) but I cut it in two to save some for later. It's as big as an arm! It's fairly difficult to cook right as you have to cook it slow otherwise the outside is overcooked but the inside is rare.

Having a go at a 96oz steak challenge is effectively eating six normalish sized 16oz steaks...which is ridiculous. I understand that professional/competitive eaters do 'starve' themselves before undergoing such silly food challenges. Do I still want a go after all this time? 🫣

Real Madrid also don't want to get on the wrong side of China.
Real Madrid @realmadrid has formally apologized to the Chinese people over controversial comments by its player Kylian Mbappe, sending a letter to China Media Group through La Liga on Wednesday, CMG reported. In the letter, the Spanish football club expressed deep respect for China, its history, culture and people, as well as the millions of Chinese fans who support the club. It also reaffirmed Mbappe's respect for the Chinese people. More: news.cgtn.com/news/2026-10-2…
