I was scrolling through TikTok yesterday when I came across this video, he said he sent over 1,000 cold emails looking for international roles.
Meanwhile, you sent 5 last week and another 5 this week and you’re already complaining that cold email doesn’t work.
I see this as one of the strongest moves we’re making at @LEDiG_Tech . We’re creating a way for businesses to keep capital working locally while protecting the future dollar requirements attached to their operations and growth.
One thing @gozie606 and I spent time deliberating was how a business would use its hedge after buying it. Treasury needs often arrive in stages. A business protecting $100,000 of supplier obligations might need $30,000 earlier and the remaining $70,000 later. Combining American-style exercise with partial exercise allows it to use the first portion and retain protection on the balance until it is needed, within expiry.
That flexibility has to be supported by committed liquidity. Our design reserves the dollar collateral backing purchased options while those obligations remain outstanding. Taking this onchain makes the reservation and settlement rules verifiable. A treasury team can assess both its exercise rights and the capital backing them.
We also looked at what would make this model practical across more emerging-market currencies. Deliverable settlement gives the buyer the dollar stablecoins needed to meet an obligation. Because the exchange happens at the agreed strike, the core settlement contract does not need a live FX oracle to calculate a cash payout. That removes a price-feed dependency as we expand to approved local stable assets with suitable liquidity.
Pricing matters just as much for adoption. Approved writers quote premiums for the exposure they are willing to take, and purchases fill from the lowest available premiums within the buyer’s specified limit. This creates room for competing underwriting views while giving treasury teams control over the cost they accept.
The opportunity we’re opening is to connect the payment and treasury demand we already serve with onchain capital willing to underwrite currency risk. For businesses and investors, better access to that protection can make it easier to commit capital to opportunities whose economics would otherwise be too exposed to FX.
We’ve spent the past couple of months building Ledig Options on @base , and we can’t wait to begin the private beta. We’re looking forward to welcoming both option writers and buyers to try what we’ve built, share their feedback and help us refine the product.

A big step for us at @LEDiG_Tech as we bring emerging market FX hedging onchain.
Institutional adoption depends on confidence in execution and settlement. Thanks to @hexens for the review and to our team for the work behind Ledig Options. Excited to keep building and see what the next phase holds.
Audit Completed: @LEDiG_Tech
Ledig is a fully collateralised on-chain call options protocol, letting institutions lock a fixed rate between stablecoins ahead of expiry for emerging market FX.
We covered the option lifecycle from purchase to exercise, writer reservation and settlement, strike price representation, and fee routing.
Wishing the team the best as they keep building.

Local currency volatility can erode foreign investors’ returns and deter investment in emerging markets. We’re building Ledig Options to help investors hedge that exposure and allocate capital with greater confidence.
Great to see @LEDiG_Tech in Base’s September roundup 🙌

From my experience working on product and growth at Ledig, I’ve realized that creating something useful is just one part of the job. The businesses who need it also have to know it’s out there.
We started with stablecoin and fiat conversion, but now we offer much more. We’re building our liquidity engine and payment suite, as well as Ledig Options, our onchain hedging protocol. Every new step comes from listening to what businesses need and where current tools don’t measure up.
We put a lot of effort into making our products better. Still, there are businesses out there searching for solutions we already offer. We need to get better at finding these companies, understanding what they need, and showing them how Ledig can help.
That’s why we’re looking to hire a Business Developer/Digital Marketing Manager.
You’ll work with me and the rest of the @LEDiG_Tech team to lead our business development and digital marketing. You’ll connect with potential customers and partners, learn from those conversations, and use what you learn to create smart outreach and campaigns.
You don’t need experience in every part of the role. What matters most to us is good judgment, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and try new ideas. We’re a hands-on team, and whoever joins us will have the chance to help shape our growth.
If you’re interested in helping build the next phase of stablecoin products and blockchain infrastructure for businesses in emerging markets and beyond, I’d love to hear from you.
You can apply using the link below. If you have questions about the role, feel free to send me a DM. We look forward to hearing from you.

That's a wrap on Nigeria Stablecoin Summit 2.0.
Thanks to everyone who visited the Ledig booth and connected with our team. It was great discussing stablecoins, payments, and the infrastructure shaping financial services across emerging markets.
Until next time.

Conversations, connections, and plenty of questions.
Here's a look at our time at Nigeria Stablecoin Summit 2.0, where the Ledig team spent the day meeting founders, partners, and businesses exploring stablecoin infrastructure across Africa.
Thanks to everyone who came by to chat. We enjoyed every conversation.

Having stablecoins doesn't automatically mean you have liquidity.
A business can hold $1M in USDC and still face challenges converting it to local currency, getting competitive FX rates, or settling large transactions.
Liquidity is about access, depth, pricing, and the ability to move value when needed.
That's why the infrastructure around stablecoins matters.

Stablecoin adoption is becoming less about the asset and more about what happens around it.
A few years ago, much of the conversation was focused on questions like:
What is a stablecoin?
Why should businesses use one?
The questions are changing.
Today, businesses are asking more practical questions:
How do I get liquidity when I need it?
How do I convert it to local currency?
How do I settle into a bank account?
What happens when transaction volumes increase?
How do I manage FX and compliance across different markets?
That shift is important.
It suggests that the next phase of stablecoin adoption will depend less on awareness and more on the infrastructure connecting digital assets to the financial systems businesses already use.
Some moments from the Nigeria Stablecoin Summit 2.0, where many of these questions came up in different forms.

As financial markets become increasingly connected to digital assets, the quality of the underlying infrastructure matters just as much as the technology itself.
Reliable liquidity, efficient settlement, strong compliance, and access to local financial rails are what turn digital assets into usable financial tools for businesses.
The infrastructure may sit in the background, but its impact is visible in how easily value moves.

Virtual accounts are not all the same.
A standard virtual account can give a business local receiving details.
A named virtual account can go further by providing an account in the business's own name, even when that business isn't locally incorporated or banked in that market.
For businesses operating across borders, that can improve payment experience and reconciliation.
The key question isn't just "Do you offer virtual accounts?"
It's "What type, in whose name, and for what use case?"

Stablecoins make value easier to move. The harder part is connecting them to local financial systems.
Ledig provides the liquidity infrastructure that connects stablecoins to local currencies, helping fintechs and institutions move, settle, and manage value across markets.

Stablecoin conversion ≠ settlement.
Consider a business that sends USDC and wants to receive NGN.
First, the USDC is converted into NGN at an agreed FX rate. But the transaction isn't complete yet. The NGN still needs to be transferred to the business's bank account through local payment rails.
So:
USDC → Conversion → NGN → Bank Settlement
This is why having access to stablecoin liquidity alone isn't enough.
Businesses also need competitive FX rates, reliable local settlement, compliance, and accurate reconciliation to complete the transaction efficiently.
The stablecoin is only one part of the payment flow. The infrastructure connecting it to the local financial system matters just as much.

Paying across borders shouldn’t feel like opening a new project every time.
Different markets mean different currencies, banking systems, and payment rails.
Ledig helps businesses make cross-border payouts using both fiat and stablecoins, while managing the complexities behind each market through one infrastructure.

Money moves in different directions. Your infrastructure should keep up.
Receive. Pay. Hedge. Reconcile. Manage.
From cross-border payouts and stablecoin payments to FX and treasury operations, businesses often have to manage multiple financial processes across different markets.
Ledig brings these workflows together through one infrastructure.
