#FJORD | "Mr. Stan, in particular, disappears so completely into Mihai that I initially took him for a Romanian actor. His performance is all the more convincing for the absence of conspicuous effort; even when he speaks English, the accent seems so thoroughly absorbed into the character that it scarcely registered with me.
The casting is a reminder that an actor’s recognizability can be a liability as well as an asset. Mr. Stan’s star persona recedes, leaving behind a man whose volatility is not merely a dramatic flourish but a source of genuine discomfort."

Sebastian Stan opens up about the emotional weight of ‘FJORD’ and its story of a family being torn apart by forces beyond their control:
“I don’t know how to process that properly without immediately understanding, without immediately having empathy, without immediately connecting to it.
I think this is a very tricky movie. It requires things that we don’t like to do anymore, which is to be patient, stay open, stay flexible, and think for yourself, rather than having someone tell you how to think.”

dadbastian the best thing ever happened to me
Sebastian Stan on how becoming a father has shaped the way he looks at today’s society:
“You wake up in today’s world and you turn on the TV, and you’re just immediately flabbergasted at what you see, but at the same time, you wake up and see these beautiful, innocent eyes looking at you, and you feel this responsibility towards the future and making sure that they have an opportunity, the chance at this world that we did, so there’s a huge responsibility to it.”
