This scene is heartbreaking. He realised that not even the people that took him in trusted him enough. They helped him get rid of what decades of abuse did to him, but still put a safety protocol to literally disarm him. His reaction says it all.

There is a genuine issue with people being unable to separate actors from their CBM role (hence the movie star discourse on here every 3 weeks), but this framing is sexist and Stan is one of the few actors in the main MCU stable to whom this doesn’t apply. (ScarJo and Olsen too.)
