Ohio State's starting safety just got jumped over by a kid who's supposed to be in 12th grade.
Mark Bowman is 18. He was supposed to be in the Class of 2027 at Mater Dei, but he skipped his senior year and enrolled at USC this spring. So while his old classmates are still playing high school ball in Orange County, he's hurdling Big Ten defensive backs in front of a sold-out Coliseum.
And the coaches weren't even planning to use him much. He'd missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, and Lincoln Riley said after the game they had him on a low pitch count. He caught three passes all night for 79 yards. Seventy came on this one.
The field-level angle is the one to watch. You can actually see how big he is (6'4", 245) when he goes over Jaylen McClain, and then he keeps going right through Earl Little Jr. and Dominick Kelly. USC scored two plays later to go up 27-9.
Now look at the box score.
Ohio State outgained USC 464 yards to 338 and had the ball almost 19 minutes longer. Most teams that win those two numbers by that much win the game, and Ohio State lost by 12.
That one catch from a kid on a snap limit was about a fifth of USC's whole offense for the night.
Riley really needed it, too. The week before, USC lost 24-7 at Wisconsin, the worst offensive game of his career, and the questions about his job were getting loud. Then his No. 25 team beat No. 2 and the crowd stormed the field.
Before anyone in Columbus brings it up, yes, Ohio State was playing without Julian Sayin, and you could feel it every time they got near the end zone. Bowman was running through their defense, though, and that defense had its worst game in two years.
After the game Riley joked that he's the one who taught Bowman to hurdle. Bowman went right along with it and said Riley sends him the signal "telepathically."

Who would have ever guessed that a fanatical Zionist from Bari Weiss' site was deployed to Haley Stevens' house along with her suddenly materialized Zionist finacé on the night before she endorsed Mike Rogers?
What an amazing and totally unexpected jouranlistic scoop!

Haley Stevens is going on the Scott Jennings radio show today because she cares about honesty, kindness, and opposing bigotry.
A lot of garbage time stats there Holmes.
‼️‼️‼️Crash out Monday ‼️‼️‼️
Looking at the box score you would think Ohio State walked into Los Angeles and made that putrid USC team look as mid as we all know they are and ended Lincoln Riley’s coaching career at USC….
The reason for why what happened Saturday was so fucking embarrassing. It’s because the whole goddamn world knows that USC team is NOT GOOD. They are as mid as it fucking comes. But none of that shit matters when you have a team full of guys who show up and play like absolute garbage.
If you lose to a team, that is better than you OK so what? You’re gonna lose some games you’re not gonna win them all that’s so fucking unrealistic. But that wasn’t the case Saturday not only did you lose to a team that’s not even fucking good. You lost to a soft ass coach with a soft ass program who is literally fighting for his coaching life and you show up and look like absolute dog shit. Beyond unacceptable!!!
Shout out to Luke Fahey 💯 that kid played his ass off. Yes he missed some passes, but that comes with a true freshman starting their first game we knew that was gonna happen. But to see the rest of that roster look as God awful as we have ever seen an Ohio State team look in program history was disgusting. He deserved better than that.
I can tell you this right now. There’s a lot of coaches on that staff that will not be here next season.
The offensive line isn’t even an average unit. Unless something changes overnight by the grace of God, Tyler Bowen will not be here next year. Great recruiter, but not a good coach.
The TE room is by far the worst in Ohio State history and it’s not even fucking close. That whole room needs to be overhauled. Everybody can get the fuck out of here.
The RBs are talented they’re just not elite and that’s OK. You can get by with that if you have a good offensive line.
The most mind blowing site in that game was absolutely garbage and I mean fucking garbage that defense and the crazy part about it is I don’t know who to blame 🤷🏾♂️ whether that is on Patricia or just players is not playing well maybe it’s a combination of both. Nobody on that defense look good at all.
I don’t know where this program is headed from here. I really don’t. They have the capabilities of winning every single game going forward but in the same damn breath after what we saw Saturday night they have the capabilities of losing every single game..
All I know is there’s a lot of coaches on this app that better get their shit together and quickly. If they go out there this upcoming weekend against Oregon and lay a fucking egg like that again I’m telling you now heads will roll 💯 #GoBucks

Of course he “understands”. 🤦🏾♀️
NYT: Jim Clyburn says he is disappointed but "understands" why Haley Stevens endorsed Mike Rogers
"I’m disappointed, but I understand... I don’t consider it a wise thing to do, but whatever her reasons are her reasons."

Bro, you can’t talk logic into these people as critical thinking is at an all time low. Air Traffic literally follows a plane ✈️ its entire trip & the sky is like a strict highway. You are monitored for safety of other aircraft. People are lazy & disrespectful.

Caleb Williams is about to keep $10 million that almost every player in the NFL just hands over to somebody else.
He doesn't have an agent. Never did. Next year he's up for a new deal with the Bears, and Albert Breer expects the 2024 quarterback class to clear $70 million a year. On a five-year contract, an agent is allowed to take up to 3% of that. That's $10.5 million walking out the door for one negotiation.
For perspective, his entire four-year rookie contract was $39.49 million. The fee he's skipping is worth more than a quarter of it.
Wouldn't five lawyers cost more than one agent?
Not even close. Say they bill $1,500 an hour, which is what partners at top firms charge. $10.5 million pays for 7,000 hours, or 1,400 hours per lawyer. That's about eight months of full-time work for each of them. A quarterback extension takes a few weeks of real work, maybe a couple of months if talks get messy. He'd have to be getting robbed for the lawyers to cost more than the commission.
There's a less obvious reason this works, and it comes down to who's loyal to who. A big agency negotiates with the same 32 teams every single year on behalf of dozens of players. Your deal is one of hundreds they'll do with those GMs over a career, so they have every reason to stay on good terms with the front office. Caleb's lawyers have one client in that building, and he pays them by the hour whether the Bears like them or not.
He split the job up, too. Agents usually handle the contract, the marketing, the PR and the money advice all in one package and take a cut of everything. Caleb hired a separate person for each piece, the way a company staffs departments. He even started his own investment firm, 888 Midas, a month before he signed his rookie deal.
He isn't the first quarterback to go without an agent. Lamar Jackson did it with his mom by his side, and his talks with Baltimore dragged on for about two years, through a franchise tag and a public trade request, before he landed $260 million with $185 million guaranteed. He saved around $7.8 million in fees and took a lot of that heat by himself.
Caleb built a whole staff around the same idea. After last season, when he took the Bears to their first division title since 2018 and led the league with six fourth-quarter comebacks, he has the leverage to use it.
When Chicago sits down to pay him next year, every person on Caleb's side of the table will be someone he hired, and he'll know exactly what each one costs.
Caleb Williams, who signed a fully guaranteed 4-year, $39.49 million rookie contract with the Bears, explains why he entered the NFL Draft without an agent: “I have five lawyers”
“No matter how many games you win, no matter how good you are, no matter all of that, the NFL is still put together as a business, and so am I”
“I don’t have an agent. I have other things in place. I have my lawyers. I have my attorneys. I have my financial advisor. I have my accountants. I have my marketing. I have my PR and crisis. I have it all. It’s just the label of an agent is not there”
“I have people in place and work delegated to certain positions and people and things like that. I have five lawyers actually. I know what I have and I know who I’m paying. I have people in place to handle things the way they need to and things like that”

Highest pressure rates allowed by Ohio State under Ryan Day (per PFF):
1. 2024 Michigan: 50%
2. 2023 Missouri: 48.3%
3. 2026 USC: 47.6%
All losses, obviously.
Ohio State has allowed a pressure rate of 42% or higher 9 times since 2019. It’s 2-7 in those games.
3 of the 8 games with the highest pressure rate allowed since 2019 are from this season: USC, Texas, Iowa

But player contracts need to be capped 🤣
Mike Norvell will be owed $50.3 million, which is subject to offset and mitigation. Per @aadelsonESPN, he just informed the team of his dismissal.
If you didn’t watch the game this might actually look like something… lol
