I can assure you your prayers didn’t save my friends from dying in the last war you supported.
The Iranian regime’s pursuit of nuclear weapons, ballistic missile development, and support for terrorist proxies pose serious threats to America’s national security and that of our allies, as well as to stability in the Middle East. Our highly skilled and brave service members are in my prayers as they perform this mission.
Sustained combat operations require full engagement with Congress. There are important questions that will be discussed in the Senate’s classified briefings with Administration officials next week.

Bill Maher: “Doug Burgum, he’s the interior secretary. Listen to this… He said, CO2, carbon, was never a pollutant. He said when we breathe, we emit CO2.”
“Okay, Doug, you know what? Let’s try this little experiment. Um, tonight when you get home, go in the garage, close the door, turn the car on, and let’s see if carbon is a pollutant, okay?”

If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.

I would offer that Alex Pretti putting his body—with his hands up—between a woman and the BP agent who had just violently shoved her into the snow, offer stark competing visions of manhood. Pretti, a nurse caring for veterans, who took a face full of pepper spray to shield that woman, is a much better masculine ideal that the masked coward shoving the woman and executing a man on his knees. MAGA may venerate the latter, but most people in a healthy society want the former.

In my opinion, when a law enforcement agency immediately announces determinations following violent incidents, that practice undermines any claim that it is in fact conducting "investigations" to which other agencies should defer.

This agent knows he's just witnessed a murder, pulls up his mask, and runs away to hide.

If the man dies, this is murder. There’s no possible legal rationale for backing up and firing multiple shots into a man who’s lying flat on the ground.
There’s no ambiguity here. Those shots are to kill, not to stop a threat.
Replying to @David_J_Bier
You can watch this agent back up, shooting repeatedly into the man as he's dying.

🚨BREAKING: This is the bullet hole from the first shot fired by the ICE agent who killed a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis.
Look at it.
It’s off to the side. It does not line up with the headrest. In the photo of the agent’s gun, it’s clearly angled away from her head.
So, ask the obvious question:
Did the first shot even hit her? Was it fatal at all?
If it wasn’t, then the shots that killed her were the second and third shots.
Those shots were fired when the agent was standing beside the car, undeniably out of its path, not in contact with the vehicle, and in no immediate danger.
And if the fatal shots were the second and third, then there isn’t even an argument about whether there was a threat.
There is no legal justification for deadly force fired from the side of a vehicle.
That is not enforcement.
That is not confusion.
That is not a mistake.
And even this administration cannot spin that.
Given this administration’s documented history of interfering with investigations, this case demands a truly independent investigation. Any review conducted internally cannot be trusted.
There must be independent oversight at every stage, and the administration’s involvement must be closely monitored to ensure there is no interference, suppression of evidence, or political pressure.

Let me get this straight:
The President sent our military to bomb a country and overthrow its leader in an operation that killed at least 40 of its citizens only to keep in place that leader's repressive, illegitimate regime -- which can stay in power so long as they open their oil reserves to our oil companies, which would probably have to invest $100 billion over a decade before they could meaningfully ramp up production, if everything else goes perfectly.
And there are actually House Democrats telling Axios (on background, of course) that the party "can't just condemn what happened"?
Have people lost their goddamn minds?
