Some Of us saw what was gonna happen at the inception of the transition to digital tool (Faustian bargain)… I could tell in 98ish When I first used Houdini and Alias, that it would move at an inhumane pace… I was already a professional in the creative trades… So I feel in no way the need to learn to code or to slave over edge flow and poly topology… these were all compromises I made to secure economic viability at the time… Remember people were doing awesome shit hundreds of years before computation. Keep making cool shit @motionpunk1 . You know that as you venture into being a director and creative director, your skills become less directly ties to pushing the buttons… So we are all now creative directors first, as the production has moved into automation.. I certainly still do wood work, and crafts as time permits because I find it satisfying…. But artisanal media/content for commercial purposes will always be bound to the parameters of our economy.

I feel like many of us just need to be head down and use the tools that work without being boosters. AI tools don’t need boosters. I’ve concluded that people are rightfully pissed. I work with a 20 yo guy who seethes when he sees me vibe coding stuff. He spent his entire youth fascinated by coding and the craft of gaming (as it existed a few years ago). I told him that if there’s anyone who understands the inhumane rate of technology it’s me… I’ve been a participant in multiple tech revolutions within creative trades. I’m done learning software, I’m done mastering software workflows. I don’t ever need to attend to polygonal edge flows again…. All of these techniques were adopted as ways to automate what was already being done by craft people since the renaissance… adding computer science to the mix did nothing to elevate things, it just shifted us from interacting with the world at large, to interacting with rectangles (screens) all day

Now do Latin America .
We should remember this. Good ole Ron Reagan’s years in office were a blood bath for many living in south and Central America. He decided to back dictators in suppressing indigenous people and worker/labor advocates. I saw many videos of dead as a kid thewire.in/world/ronald-reag…

Now I want everyone to put on your 4-5D glasses, and recall The Film Jacobs ladder, and the blurry face guy ...Now can you see him as a spatiotemporal object? Do you recall these scenes as a part of the journey into afterlife?
