India has demonstrated quantum secure communication from a drone, a capability only a handful of countries have shown.
C-DAC Pune carried out the demonstration at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow, with the airborne payload flying on a UAS built by Sagar Defence Engineering. Entanglement based QKD was combined with post quantum cryptography and real time encrypted file transfers were completed end to end.
IIT Indore and Physical Research Laboratory were part of the effort. Fully Indian team, fully Indian platform. This is what Atmanirbhar Bharat looks like in practice.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a one-year service extension for Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh
He will now serve in the role until October 31, 2027, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier. His current tenure was scheduled to end on October 31, 2026.

Trials of the Rafale Marine fighter aircraft are being carried out in Goa by the Indian Navy. The trials are for the modifications to the aircraft required for carrying out operations from the Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. Indian Navy has signed a contract for 26 Rafale Marine aircraft, which are scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2028 or early 2029: Defence Officials
