Our lead sponsor @mannion4nh is now introducing H.B. 104, the @DefendTheGuard Act, before committee in New Hampshire.
Rep. Mannion deployed twice to Iraq as a Marine, and we’re incredibly proud to work with him in defense of the National Guard and our Constitution.

The “Live Free or Die” state has a lot of people who love liberty.
But in our experience, there isn’t a better, more committed, and more knowledgeable activist in all of New Hampshire than @derek_proulx.
We’re honored to have him on our team in support of @DefendTheGuard.

Door knocking alone isn’t the best BUT getting nothing but YES from these voters makes it worth it.
Let me know if you want to join me. I do all the talking.

Further context:
While there were a great many disappointments from the Senate, the failure to get so much as a roll call on this critical bill was the anvil that broke the camel's back and necessitated this primary, and stirred up the grassroots.

I support state-level "Defend the Guard" acts, which prohibit the deployment of the National Guard abroad without a formal declaration of war by Congress. It would put a limit on the military adventurism we take for granted today as normal.

Sorry for the slow response! Simple answer: yes. If it’s the same bill or substantially the same legislation. Rep Mannion knows he has my support.

For too long the State Senate has ignored the will of the voters, pandered to lobbyists, and been the body in which good bills go to die. That needs to change, and I am in this race to make sure that happens.

Sen. Eric Brakey put forward the “defend the guard” language…
“There has been no declaration of war for many decades and yet our guardsmen from our states have been sent overseas into wars that never end with no mission and no end in sight,” he said.
