But now that the DSA is gaining a foothold within his own party, he's embraced them, even saying their platform is "not a change in ideology."
As a reminder, the DSA platform includes:
- Abolish police and prisons
- Abolish the Senate
- Establish public ownership of the largest corporations and industries
- Close all foreign military bases
30 years ago, I took an oath to defend this country, the Constitution, and our way of life from extremists who wish to do us harm. That's what I've done every day since, and will continue to do in Congress.

Virginia taxpayers deserve answers, and our seniors deserve better.
State auditors flagged nearly $65 million in questionable nursing home expenses, yet Virginia's Medicaid agency has declined to investigate further, despite serious concerns about missing documentation and potentially inflated costs.
That's unacceptable. I've called on DMAS to provide answers and take these findings seriously. When millions in taxpayer dollars are at stake, a lack of documentation should be a reason for more scrutiny, not less.
We have a responsibility to protect our most vulnerable Virginians, safeguard taxpayer dollars, and ensure nursing homes are held accountable.

In the same breath, they turn around and tell you that mass restoration of rights is a good idea and we don’t need any election security laws.
