Huge news for Latin America, and the world:
Lula da Silva has won reelection in Brazil, despite blatant electoral meddling by the US.
Brazil is the biggest country in Latin America, a major geopolitical power, and a founding member of BRICS.
The US empire wanted to put back in power the corrupt, far-right Bolsonaro dynasty, which is extremely pro-US and pro-Israel.
The Bolsonaros vowed to minimize Brazil's role in BRICS, serve the interests of Brazilian oligarchs and big landlords at the expense of the working class, uphold the global US dollar system, and let US corporations plunder Brazil's natural resources -- especially its rare earths and critical minerals, which the US wants to reduce its reliance on China.
In contrast, Lula comes from a poor family and has always put the interests of the working class first. He has a non-aligned foreign policy, 100% supports Palestine, strongly believes in the importance of Global South integration and cooperation, and was a co-founder of BRICS.
Lula will deepen Brazil's partnership with China and the rest of the Global South. He will also continue to push for the transformation of the international financial system and will challenge the global dominance of the US dollar, which infuriates Washington.

Exactly 50 years ago, CIA-linked terrorists blew up Cubana Flight 455 in mid-air, murdering 73 civilians. Declassified documents show the US had foreknowledge and allowed the attack to proceed. The masterminds lived freely in Miami the rest of their lives and died in peace.
Remember Cuba's 9/11: On October 6, 1976, Cubana de Aviación Flight 455 was bombed mid-air over the Caribbean, killing all 73 aboard: 57 Cubans, 11 Guyanese, 5 North Koreans. Among the dead were the entire 1975 Cuban national fencing team, many of them teenagers who had just swept gold at the Central American and Caribbean Championships.
￭ The operation was carried out as part of the broader US hybrid warfare campaign against Cuba, under orders from CIA operatives Luis Posada Carriles and Orlando Bosch, and classified CIA documents confirm the agency knew of the plot in advance. Both men later fled to the US, were welcomed with open arms, and died free.

On August 7, 1970, 17-year-old Jonathan Jackson was martyred while attempting a hostage-taking operation in the Marin County Courthouse north of San Francisco, California, to free his older brother George Jackson from Soledad State Prison.
￭ George, who was martyred a year later in an escape attempt, mourned Jonathan, but said, most of all he was proud, that Jonathan’s “death only [sharpened his] fighting spirit,” and that “Escape from the myth, the hoax, by moving people into action against the terror of the state—counter-terrorism—is the real significance of the August 7th affair.”
￭ These events later led to the tradition of observing Black August, an annual, month-long commemoration originating in California's prison system to honor Black political prisoners, freedom fighters, and global resistance against racial and colonial oppression.

I refused to speak with the fascists at "The Free Press," who should be sent to the Hague for complicity in genocide and assassinating Dr. Refaat Al-Areer, so they had an undercover reporter track me down in Beirut and meet me under false premises.
