Another devastating supercut showing Obama vs. Trump tonight. This is really brutal for Trump. He is not even in the same league as Obama. Expect another Truth Social crash out in 3…2…

Something that the world is quickly learning in the age of AI: If something can be hacked, it will be hacked. This week has been a prime example of this. Security has never been more crucial than it is now

What a legend
Fox: Why are you here this morning? Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

Finally, it appears that authorities have found some voter fraud. Right-wing activists James O’Keefe and Cam Higby were charged with voting unlawfully and stealing an identity after they gave false names to poll workers in Minnesota during the state’s primary election. 1/4

The process is rarely used, and poll workers reported the men, who posted a video to YouTube of their attempt to vote fraudulently. O’Keefe and Higby claimed they were simply exposing the “lunacy” of the system. 3/4

But it turns out the system worked, and they are now charged with a felony. 4/4 Read more midterm election news here: heathercoxrichardson.substac…

Obama is all out of fucks tonight. The fact that he double downed on everything that made MAGA’s head spin and went even further tonight is glorious.
Man, oh man. Obama just roasted Trump and some of his cabinet members for minutes in Atlanta. Stop what you're doing and watch this. There is no way Trump is sleeping tonight.

Demand is becoming a bigger driver of US inflation: Demand-driven components contributed +1.2 percentage points to the +3.4% YoY increase in PCE inflation in August, the largest contribution since September 2023. At the same time, supply-driven factors added +1.0 percentage point, while ambiguous factors accounted for another +1.2 percentage points. This contrasts with the post-pandemic inflation surge, when supply disruptions were the main driver. In 2022, supply-driven components contributed an average of +3.1 percentage points per month to headline PCE inflation, compared with +2.6 percentage points per month from demand-driven factors. This is a key distinction for Fed policy, as rising interest rates can slow demand, while their impact on supply-side pressures is limited. The composition of US inflation is shifting.
