Anything that burns… Anything that burns contributes to air pollution. We should support cleaner alternatives. Replace coal grills and tandoors with electric ones. Replace thermal power plants with solar panels everywhere. Replace petrol and diesel with EVs.

India’s growth story is partly a function of the base effect. In the last thirty years, India’s per capita GDP has increased from $375 to $2,702, i.e 7.2 times. Then we looked at all the countries who made this leap and what time they covered it in. India is faster than 19 countries but slower than 15 countries. It's actually at the median. Needless to say, the growth rates tend to slow down as per capita keeps rising because the base effect starts to work against you. India’s not at that stage yet because we are still pretty low in terms of per capita GDP, but maybe we will reach that stage in 7-10 years time This is not to take away from India’s growth story, but the base effect can’t be ignored also Views are personal. Not investment advice.

Cyprus, actually, is a good example of a "two-state solution" — a distant dream for Israel-Palestine. The island’s Greeks are not under “Turkey’s occupation of Cyprus.” They have their own state, which is bigger and richer, and an EU member. And almost no bloodshed since 1974.
Why don’t any “End the Occupation” anti-Israel lunatics ever speak about Turkey’s occupation of Cyprus?

EXCLUSIVE: India’s biggest news publishers including Ambani's Network18, Adani's NDTV, Indian Express, Times Internet & others mount the most high-profile challenge yet to Modi’s privacy law, warning it would “render investigative journalism a benign and neutered recorder of events.” DNPA (@publishers_news) has taken the law to the Supreme Court. They argue it would trample investigative work and let New Delhi identify journalists’ sources. The provisions “constitute pre-censorship which is anathema to any democracy worth its name,” the group’s 698-page filing says. The key concerns: 🔹 Consent: requiring a journalist to notify the subject of an investigation and seek consent “would allow that subject to destroy evidence, intimidate witnesses” 🔹 Erasure: people can withdraw consent and demand their data be erased, which the group says could force publishers to unpublish or heavily redact news reports 🔹 Sources: a “nakedly unguided” power to demand information that “can extend to privileged communications in possession of a reporter or the informant” In a letter to the government, the group said India “has chosen to grant broad exemptions to the state, while failing to extend any corresponding protection to the press.” reuters.com/business/media-t…

They filed and deleted over 5 lakh in Bengal. Everything they’re doing now across India has been done at a much larger scale in Bengal. It’s frightening.
🚨MASSIVE BREAKING : THE HINDU Just drop Biggest BOMB on Traitor Gyanesh & dictator MODI 🔥 (MUST Read & Share) 61,059 applications to delete voters. Filed by election officials themselves. Not ONE gives a reason. 💀 → Form 7 is the form used to object to a voter's name and get it deleted. → In Karnataka, at least 61,059 Form 7s were filed in the name of election officials. One-third of all such forms. → Not a single one mentions a reason. The law says an objection without a reason is liable to be rejected. → The officers named on these forms say the system "auto-generated" them with their digital signatures. → So the same machinery raised the objection, and the same machinery decided who stays. → Between Aug 24 and Sep 23, only 192 such forms were filed by officials. → Then, AFTER the objection period ended, more than 60,800 came in. → On the very last day, Oct 22, officials filed 10,105 forms. → Spot checks found names were already deleted, even for forms filed after the deadline. → It is unclear whether hearing notices, which are mandatory before deletion, were even issued. Now connect the dots. Officials say they didn't fill these forms. The "system" did, with their signatures. Whose system is it? Election Commission's. Who runs the Election Commission? Gyanesh Kumar. So a software is allegedly deleting voters, in the name of officers, without a reason, after the deadline. And nobody, not the voter, not the public, can check why. Bro, imagine. Someone forges your signature on a cheque. The bank says, "Don't worry, the system did it automatically." And the money is already gone before you even find out. That's what is happening to people's VOTE. That's not SIR. That's silent deletion. Gyanesh , who told your software to sign deletion forms in officers' names? Modi , voters deleted without reason, after the deadline. Who is this "system" working for? 🔥🔥🔥

From afar, Lula winning and Vucic losing on the same day is hard to ignore. A crystallization of a kind of global anti-nationalist wave that's as real as the steady far-right march we've all spoken and written about for the past decade. And it's cresting a week before US midterms

There’s something deeply revolting about Dr Chandrachud’s duplicity. When he was the chief, I used to think it was because of his astute ability to identify what is wrong and then completely sidestep it using clever phraseology. Years later, I can see he’s only become better.

Sasta Desi Nostradamus @aravind is busy 'predicting' events that are already happening. A few days later, he'll announce: "I told you so!" 🤣🤣 Post 30–40 tweets on the same subject, covering every possible permutation and combination. If even one claim comes true, start taking credit. Quite the prediction business! No? These protests in Arunachal have been going on for days. Just because Godi media hasn't highlighted them doesn't mean they started after your "prediction."
We will see protests by some groups starting in border areas with China soon. Namely Arunachal, Sikkim, and Ladhak. Why? It's part of the India destabilization plan. If they happen, understand it can't be a coincidence for all the border areas to be in protests at same time.

Remember when PM Modi entered CJI Chandrachud’s living room with state media cameras rolling? Critics who questioned that breach of judicial aloofness were told it was just "personal faith and civility." But look at the sequence now: Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul reveals that CJI Chandrachud operated with deference to the government, pre-vetting judicial names before the Collegium even met.  Article 50 says the State must keep the Judiciary separate from the Executive. So, was that televised display of friendship a sign of judicial independence, or a serious compromise of institutional integrity that demands an immediate judicial inquiry?

Back in the day, I wrote on DY Chandrachud’s ethical exceptionalism. The material now public, thanks to Mr. Kaul, would have constituted removable misconduct had it surfaced while DYC was still a judge. Asking judge to take pro-executive approach in PMLA matter? What a betrayal!

Case Deleted Overnight🤯 The case pressing the government to clear stalled judicial appointments was listed before Justice Kaul on Dec 5, then deleted overnight. No word from the CJI DYC, his friend of 40 years. Instead, a registrar explained over lunch: a permission was supposedly missed 2 years ago. The Case never returned.

His moralising is more tiresome than his servility.
VIDEO | Delhi: Former CJI DY Chandrachud says, "In a democracy, institutions are essential. Whether they are government-run or private, such institutions are vital. If we wish to advance and develop our nation, we must sustain these institutions; furthermore, we need to strengthen and fortify the effective ones. In the field of medicine particularly regarding patient care and welfare, public hospitals serve those in genuine need, including many who travel from far and wide to seek help. Consequently, there is an urgent need to make our public hospitals and public health infrastructure more robust and resilient." (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)
