CPTSD shares several clinical features with PTSD and BPD, while also having important points of distinction. 🚨 Ultimately, it is the constellation of symptoms = PTSD symptoms + disturbances in -affect regulation -self-concept -interpersonal functioning than any single unique criterion, that defines CPTSD. Re BPD similarly there are phenomenological differences etc persistent negative self concept vs an unstable one .. More here as a Diagnostic label only provides a partial view 👉psychscenehub.com/psychinsig…
People keep describing cPTSD by cause, but what do y’all think are the actual differentiating symptoms from the DSM’s PTSD? Just cause? Y’all the DSM sucks, but at least it isn’t as bad as the ICD. Please don’t think they discovered a previously unknown cause of trauma.

“I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy [sibling] and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.” - this hit me like a brick. We often talk about "suffering in silence"... 1/2

Posted this before. I didn't even try to stay alive, I knew I was going to do it and I kept it will hidden until I tried as I didn't want someone to try to help me. That was when the depth of my depression became obvious

It's #WorldSuicidePreventionDay Many people think about suicide at some point in their lives. Suicidal thoughts and behaviours are signs of severe emotional distress, not weakness. 💙It is possible to get better. 💙You are not alone. 💙Help is available.

The scariest part about suicidal thoughts is how normal you can look while having them.

We're sorry to lose your support, Cyril. Our role is to go to the aid of people in danger on the water, without prejudice or exception, just as it has always been since 1824. If there is a risk to life, we will always launch.

Count Binface wants water bosses to swim in rivers to prove they’re clean. He could win a by-election on that policy alone.

I understand the functions of a Constitutional Monarchy. I get they must remain above politics But King Charles is Head of State & Head of the Armed Forces. Trump's comments re British & Allied forces-grotesque. In my view the proposed state visit to the US should be cancelled.

A VERY long shot…but if anyone was on flight BA177 from Heathrow to JFK yesterday (Tues 4 April) at 1.10pm and landing at 3.30pm and found this little fella, there’s a distraught little boy who would love to be reunited with him. Get in touch if you can help. Thanks

If qualified GP numbers fall, while appointments increase: GPs are working harder. There are no magic extra slots. Just more overworked GPs who will burn out or retire sooner. Other strategies are needed to fix these problems. 😓 thetimes.co.uk/article/6051f…
