This happened because a radiologist is working their ass off to get cancer scans read at 11 pm on a Friday before the weekend and it is Federal law that results are immediately available to the patient in the electronic record
Healthcare is the only industry that drops your cancer scan results into an app at 11 PM on a Friday, then closes for the weekend. No call. No context. Just a PDF full of words like "suspicious" and "cannot be excluded" and a little banner that says "Sleep well!" Meanwhile billing found me in 4 hours 😐

The replies to this tweet are…bots or human, they’re ridiculous lol
Any apology this couple gets is because they (owner, agent, and firm) got caught, NOT because they are remorseful.

This was a very important week, and it was successful. 🥳

🚨 BREAKING: A Black couple showed up to tour an apartment in Queens... and the broker accidentally texted THEM instead of the owner: "Ugh. They are Black." They'd just moved from Delaware for her new job. Now they're SUING Douglas Elliman, the agent AND the owners. "It doesn't change the pain. It doesn't take away the pain you caused us that day." Think about it. They were judged before they even had a chance. They only found out because she texted the wrong person. Most people never do.

Just referenced it on Monday lol
I asked a few people if they remembered Ask Jeeves and every single one looked at me like I made it up. HOW DO YOU NOT REMEMBER ASK JEEVES??? We literally used to ask a cartoon butler questions before Google became everyone’s entire personality. Please tell me someone else remembers this.

There should be an app where you upload your bills and bored billionaires swipe right to pay them.

My life is being consumed by volleyball. LOL Took Laila to ONE match to see their varsity team play and stayed for a second match. Saturday is her team’s playoffs, and she’s playing in the offseason.

Working in education really conditions you to seeing inequity everywhere *if* you’re willing to be aware, and it’s uncomfortable when it’s so stark and in your face.

I’m watching the regional finals volleyball match between my daughter’s private school (No. 1 team) against a public school (No. 7 team), and while some difference is expected given ranks, you can tell which girls play club ball and have private trainers. 🫤

I know HSAs are there to be used, but every time a transaction greater than $50 clears, I lament how terrible it is that everything is high. 😭

I work from home. But I understand your anger. Id be salty too if I had to work in an office. I would say just stream it on your work computer but you’d probably get fired. Now stop tweeting from under your desk and put your phone back in your pocket before you get written up
Maybe because I’m employed and my favorite team is playing in that opening day afternoon game. Idk tho.

Casually floated the idea of including pets under the bereavement leave policy to a couple of HR teams (different places), and it is under consideration at both. 🙂‍↔️ (I don’t even have a pet, but personally, I think it’s worth discussing.)

My sister was retwisting locs at Ulta. 😂 She has her own shop now, but I don’t get why folks would be upset that ppl have chosen not to pay their prices. Beauticians spent years telling folks to go elsewhere. Folks listened. 🤷🏾‍♀️
The IG hair stylists are crashing out because women are going to ULTA for a reasonable price instead of dealing with non-refundable deposits, last minute cancellations, rude ass customer service, a list of rules and policies longer than the Declaration of Independence

This is horrible. I had one done, & my female OB used local anesthesia, but when they put that laser up there to cut, I felt it. 😭 I jumped so violently that she stopped the procedure and scheduled an in-patient one w/anesthesia. They put me all the way to sleep for it.
i had a biopsy of my cervix taken without numbing medicine because most male doctors believe women have no pain receptors in their cervix and let me fkn tell u somethin

That’s the only time I’ve ever had a tube down my throat. The pain of feeling a laser cut through your internal organ is…AWFUL IS NOT A GOOD ENOUGH DESCRIPTOR.

Yes, their hugs are normal. My mom wasn’t very affectionate when I was young, so I was not...except w/my kids. My daughter is SUPER affectionate, & I think it’s bc I nursed her for 2 yrs as a SAHM & hugged/kissed my kids a lot. My 12yo will reach for my hand no matter what.
Do yall kids hug yall ? No one hugged me when i was a kid so i be looking at my kids like they trippin they hug me like every other hour is that normal ? It feels awkward. I don’t dislike it i just don’t know what to make of it I’m not used to affection from family

My son never rejected hugs as he got older, but I stopped hugging him as much in anticipation of him not wanting it. Then, one day he asked me why I hug Laila but not him. I said, “I assumed you didn’t want your mom’s hugs anymore,” and he said, “UH YEAH, I want hugs too!” 😂

So I apologized for the assumption, and now he gets hugs and kisses on the cheek just like his little sister does. LOL Even as a college student…whenever we part, both kids say, “I love you,” and I say it back. You just gotta teach yourself a new way of being.
