The difference today isn’t in how good the superstars are but how much better men 4-15 are then ever in history

Game like tonight makes me really miss Julian Reese. We needed what he brought.

Need Keefe, AD, Trae, or Khris (preferably all) to step up as leaders of this team. Right now everything/everybody seems to be following their vibes of “just happy to be here and whatever happens, happens”.

A newly put together offense always takes time but it rarely feels like we get the best possible shot. Barely scoring 100 with this roster against a shorthanded Hornets is proof of how much work still needs to be done, despite the individual talent. Need to see more from Keefe

17 offensive rebounds in barely 30 minutes of game time is wild. We need AJ back asap. If he consistently brings the energy he could damn near mess around and lead this team in rebounding.

Play of the year might be right đŸ”„đŸ”„

Bilal really is fun to watch on the defensive end. So good.

Wow I gotta watch the tape but those numbers from Tyran Stokes really stand out. I find it pretty odd for a neutral? page to only mention Pat when Stokes line was just as impressive đŸ€” 27-8-7 against what should be one of CBB’s best defenses
Duke pulls away late to defeat Kansas, 90-84, in an exhibition in Allen Fieldhouse. Patrick Ngongba with 28 points and 10 rebounds. 👀 What else stands out?

This is the Kyshawn shot diet. Post up small guards, C&S 3s, off dribble controlled mid range. Minimal dribbles and driving for right now until he slows on down on TOs.

As I’m typing he got a great mid range pull up off the dribble hand off but then shoots another one of these lazy, uncontrolled mid range shots. When he absorbs the contact and shoots an actual jumper it looks great.

And there we go. Easy bucket. ✅
I might be tripping but I wanna see Kyshawn post Schroeder up right there.

I did not want to admit to my addiction this soon lol but 16-2 in week 1 of Fantasy Basketball will do đŸ”„unfortunately I think JDub was my most drafted player besides Caleb, Kyshawn, and Yaxel. Felt like he was going to have a strong all star comeback season. Get well soon JDub!

Kelvin Sampson finally went out and got some offensive talent that he can teach to how to play defense. I had Dedan Thomas as my #1 “most impactful” transfer but moved him to #10 for my final rankings as I tried to consider the players strict individual talent as well.
The box score from Houston's 83-66 exhibition win over Michigan. Dedan Thomas Jr. led the way with 25 points and seven assists. đŸ”„ Thoughts?

I will say though for Michigan to be without Brandon McCoy this early, a double digit loss isn’t terrible. Kelvin Sampson has his teams playing sound ball earlier in the season than any recent coach I can remember.

Timberwolves are playing motivated this season. Anthony Edwards seems to be making good progress in terms of becoming a real leader, not just the best player. Chris Finch coming for that Coach of the Year award. >60% win percentage L3 seasons and 27 playoff Ws. Elite head coach.

Freshman PG Miles Sadler has had an impressive first two exhibition games for West Virginia. Through his first two games Sadler is averaging 17/3/5, along with 1.5 steals a game while shooting 38% from three in only 24 MPG. Sadler is one of the best PG’s in this year’s Draft class and he showcased why with a strong showcase of his shooting, speed, playmaking, change of direction, free throw drawing, and rim pressure.

Trevon Brazile finishing with the Nuggets starters in only his 2nd career game. 17 & 9 with 3 stocks. 3-7 from 3. Gave that pick an A+ for a reason (along with like 30 other picks) didn’t take long to find that Peyton Watson replacement
Sergio De Larrea with 21-5-4 on 9/15 shooting (3/4 from 3) in his 3rd game Feel like I’ll be able to make a post every night of the season about how insanely good this rookie class is going to be lol

Love this for Brazile. Along with Zuby he was probably my highest riser after the college season ended (#31). Not sure I’d say he will be the eventual Aaron Gordon replacement yet but he’s going to look great next to Jokic, and I wouldn’t be surprised.

Actually yea looking into the numbers more and Kyshawn has routinely finished with more assists than made 3s every season. Last year 99 made 3s compared to 214 assists. He’s always been a connective wing. Now that doesn’t mean he should be getting as many reps as he is at PG, but

Even in his lone college season he had more total assists than made 3s as a true wing. Don’t get me wrong he shot 40% so it’s not a knock but he had 4+ assists in 6 of 16 starts as a freshmen. Only made 4+ 3s in 5 games. He’s never been just a shooter.

Trying to minimize Kyshawn’s game down to strictly catch and shooting would be wasting a lot of talent. At the same time I would’ve waited until next season to move Kyshawn into this role. Also don’t want him shooting OTD 3s. When he’s shooting 3s, they should be C&S.

They’re rushing it. I’ve been one of the biggest supporters of him becoming a more prominent ball handler in his prime but trying to make him the true backup PG this season was too early.
