NEWS: Las Vegas #Raiders owner Mark Davis has taken a strong stance against signing players with histories of domestic violence.
Davis has publicly maintained a ZERO-TOLERANCE approach toward domestic abuse, even if it means passing on talented players.
“We have zero tolerance.”
His stance is deeply personal, stemming from the tragic murder of Raiders legend Fred Biletnikoff’s daughter, Tracey, by her boyfriend in 1999.
Davis has emphasized that domestic violence has no place in the Raiders organization.

"Can I say one thing? RIP Stacey King who we lost recently. A person I knew when I was in high school here. He supported our team…his kids went to Stevenson. Just to see him not here today…My thoughts & prayers are with him & his family. We miss him"

Over a century ago, thousands of Italian families arrived on the shores of New York City searching for a better life. Sicilians moved onto Elizabeth Street and Neapolitans laid down roots on Mulberry. Calabrians made homes on East 109th and their Baresi neighbors did the same on 112th. Even as they were told they were too foreign, too different, too working class, Italian New Yorkers made their mark on this great city -- from Mother Cabrini, to Fiorello LaGuardia, to Martin Scorsese, and countless more.
That history of greatness is felt in every neighborhood across every borough, and it was an honor to celebrate it at Gracie Mansion last night.

I am old enough to remember when ARM's could only pop 2% a year no matter how much rates rose...

Cutting the number of live meetings ultimately means sacrificing one kind of interest rate volatility for another
At best, it will have no real effect. At worst, will lead to more abrupt and lagging policy
Small "c" conservative case for just sticking to historical practice

Lowering the # of "live" Fed meetings per year means the Fed is either:
1. Liable to fall further behind the curve b/c it will move too slow, or
2. Gonna have to be more open to 50bp+ moves than before
This comes as the Fed intentionally guided hikes to a slower quarterly pace

Aaaaaand he implied that he popped the AI bubble with one hike.
Replying to @lebas_janney
Took a victory lap implying one hike tightened financial conditions and made capital allocators more disciplined. 🙄

More time for “big thoughts “ at the Fed. Wonder why that excludes decision making.

Ultimately, the Fed call is conditional on the outlook for inflation and economic growth. The Fed refers to growth as "strong" and inflation as "elevated." That combination will ultimately degrade to additional rate hikes.
