Reminder that Palmer is only 34 and has at least 20 prime years ahead of him to continue doing awesome shit like this
Warhound, the brain child of Ben Lamm and Palmer Luckey, emerges from stealth to genetically engineer dogs for military and law enforcement.

AFRL conducted a test of preliminary Rocket Cargo capabilities via @SpaceX Bandwagon-5 on a Falcon 9 launching from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station @SLDelta45. This test involved a SpaceX Starfall capsule loaded with #AFRL agile cargo pods for point-to-point delivery missions.

If you ever sought out the novels of Sally Rooney in bookshops – when that was still possible – you’d know they sit in the fiction stacks adjacent to the novels of another SR whose books have been withdrawn in dastardly political circumstances. Until last week, “Rooney” and “Rushdie” had little in common beyond being shelfmates; now they have more than just a physical proximity.

This is why I voted NO on Austin’s ballot measure to debt finance another $35m for “public libraries”
We’ll know the city is serious when libraries stop being daycare for homeless drug addicts watching porn
UPDATE: Alonzo Mabry is dead.
In March, the 62-year-old was using a computer at Austin's Central Library when the man next to him, Daniel Vasquez, stood up, hit him in the head, and stomped on his skull while he lay unconscious. Then Vasquez went back to his computer.
Mabry died in hospice and Vasquez was charged with murder last week.
Before the library, Vasquez had punched a CapMetro bus driver in the mouth. That was dismissed by prosecutors.
He also punched a mother in the face in front of her 11-year-old son, then punched the woman who tried to stop him. Those were also dismissed.
DA Jose Garza's office sent him to a six-month rehab program instead. He finished in June 2025 and every charge was wiped and he went back to the street.
Everyone in Eastern Europe is spending billions on landmine systems
The necessity of mines is one of the key lessons from Ukraine. Without them, the current drone war falls apart
This is doubly true in PACOM where weather and terrain place extreme pressure on sUAS ISR & strike
In today's depressing but important news:
Finland To Build A Million Landmines As Russian Threat Looms
Helsinki is moving to restart domestic production of once-outlawed anti-personnel mines as Russia rebuilds its military posture along NATO’s northern flank.

I know some of my left leaning friends might think I’m being hyperbolic but the openly stated aims of this organization were to abolish our local government, mass expropriate private property, and conduct an ethnic pogrom
Mackenzie and her charity gave them 8 figures
When Mackenzie Bezos did this, it funded a revolutionary group in our small rural community
They put up blood red billboards inciting racially targeted violence, organized events to support a cop killing drug dealer, and ran ops for the local gang in the guise of “outreach”
We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit.
It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion.
In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding.
In the post below, we share more details about our new fund.

Those studies culminated in controversial modern initiatives—such as the Pentagon's 2026 rollout of mandatory annual testosterone screening for service members age 30 and older to offer voluntary TRT for combat performance.
When I was 17, I met the computer forensics guy who did the analysis and he was obviously still livid about this
FBI headquarters blocked a search of the 20th hijacker’s laptop until the morning of 9/11.
25 days earlier, they already had Zacarias Moussaoui in custody in Minnesota along with that laptop after flight school instructors flagged him for paying cash to train on a 747 simulator with zero aviation background.
Minneapolis agents wrote that he was likely planning to hijack aircraft, yet Washington refused a warrant and a criminal case, claiming there wasn’t enough evidence.
The search was approved only as the planes struck. Agent Harry Samit later called the refusal criminal negligence that cost a real chance to stop the attacks.
Moussaoui told the court America lost.
I'm sure everyone's twigged to this but the utility of LOTR startup culture is that it allows orgs to screen for and enforce Western/Christian values within a innocuous and ostensibly secular framework
Many talented technologists who would otherwise 'get the ick' from overt political or religious messaging find it easy and safe to align with the same values via LOTR
