✨ Blessing of the Banners ✨
Join a tradition which has been a vital part of the Miners’ Gala since 1897, as Durham Cathedral hosts the poignant ceremony during which the Bishop of Durham blesses new or restored colliery banners. This year features Langley Park and Ludworth.
This Saturday marks the 140th Durham Miners Gala 🎺
All are welcome to join us 3pm, as the Langley Park and Ludworth banners are blessed and music from brass bands fill the cathedral
