“Dining on the Greens” this evening. All long time tradition at ECC. Perfect night, perfect golf course and another way golf affects lives.
When you become a General Manager out of golf, you continue to cherish other ways that golf affects lives. It does folks. Onward!
It was a great week at the @GCSAA delegates meeting. 100 years is a huge milestone for our organization. Thanks @LThompsonGC for being there with us. Onward!
In transit to joining some great industry leaders. My new role as General Manager began at this meeting two years ago. Great couple of days ahead. If you don’t serve, please begin to do so. It’s a team effort out there, folks.
I spent the first two days of the week outside with @Eziliak2 and the team aiding in poking holes. It went beautifully. Another summer in the books.

To every @GCSAA super and their team: thanks for the pride you take in your work, the leadership you provide + the countless hours you invest in creating places where people can enjoy this great game.
Without your efforts, there is no game.
Happy #ThankASuper Day!
One of the hottest days in Evansville since 2012. The course continues to hang in there. It’s almost over everyone. Poking holes in 8 days, can’t wait!
A hard pill to swallow as a Boilermaker, but welcomed the IU golf outing to ECC today. The team did a fantastic job hosting it.
We welcome the @evansvillegolf tournament today. @Eziliak2 and his team have the place in perfect condition. Play hard boys, the little monster will challenge you!
Last weekend the F&B team hosted one of our many member weddings. Golf even affects lives on the F&B side of clubs. Not a bad spot to say “I do”. Life as a GM continues to get stronger, if you’re debating the decision, jump in.
Spent the day with the grounds crew helping with a few things while welcoming our asphalt company back after a 4 year post renovation layoff. Our members continue to invest in their club each year. We are thankful for this.
Back on the course early this morning to assist @Eziliak2 on this main line repair. No time for the weak when it’s this hot. Back home to rest and back over this evening for dinner service.
I was out with the grounds team this morning helping set up the greens early this morning. I haven’t lost my touch or my turf sensory glands while running the club. Love this place!! @Eziliak2 and the team are absolutely crushing it this season. No “I” in team.

BENTRASS GREENS
The most playable green speed for a private club is 10.5 to 11.5.
Rutgers turf researchers say .120 - .125 is the most healthy height of cut for a bentgrass green.
Can a superintendent produce green speeds of 10.5 to 11.5 with a .120 -.125 cutting height.
YES.
Outside with the crew on a closed Tuesday helping install conduit for four new fans on greens. Progress!
The pool at ECC is officially open. All amenities are now on my plate. Being a super for 20+ years has allowed me to help navigate the pump station of our pool during start up to save the club thousands of dollars. Golf rounds are also up 2,500 ytd from 2025!
Meet “Birdie” and “Bogey” ECC’s resident bald eagles. Golf courses are apparently hard on the environment. WRONG! These two disagree as well. These eagles have become a quick part of our golfing experience. Awesome stuff.
Good morning from ECC! Out hand watering greens and checking the place out while Eli catches his breath this weekend. The place is in spectacular shape. Feels good to be outside this morning! Good day.
A huge shout out to Scott Lambert for allowing us to play Atlanta CC this morning. This may be one of the cleanest properties I’ve ever seen. @beauwelling did a great job with this renovation as well. Scott and his team are great at their jobs, keep up the good work!
