I made a poster about magnet mode/asynchronous pacing 😀 Cardiac professionals - feel free to use. (e.g., when explaining what is going on to MRI radiographers, surgeons, anaesthesiologists etc.) #pacemaker #cardiacphysiology @PiCSA_au @thecsanz @APHRSOfficial @HRSonline

Not all HF is equal! Withdrawing HF pharmacotherapy in patients with a clear AF mediated CM and normalisation of LVEF appears safe and feasible. @drlouisesegan @escardio @peterkistler3 @BakerResearchAu @AlfredHealth

HOT-CRT Trial 📌In a study of 100 patients, #HOT-#CRT showed a 96% success rate vs. 82% for BVP-CRT (P=0.03). 📌Both pacing techniques reduced QRS duration, with similar procedure times. 📌 LVEF ⤴️ at 6 months was greater with HOT-CRT (12.4%) vs #BVP (8.0%, P=0.02). 📌Safety was comparable, but HOT-CRT had fewer complications (6% vs 20%, P=0.03). @JACCJournals #JACCEP jacc.org/doi/full/10.1016/j.…

Commotion cordis is uncommon but has high mortality. 2/3 sport related. However not sport related most often due to assault, in females mainly domestic violence. Important to 1. Increase awareness 2. CPR training 3. AED access. Dr Han Lim #aphrs2023

Cardioneuroablation practical approach by @foojhihui : 1. identity patient (tilt table/ilr) 2. Identity and ablate appropriate ganglia+verify result 3. Verify longer effect by symptoms, heart rate (variability). Further data needed on longer term efficacy #aphrs2023
