Why did Tony Gwynn have a batting average of .338? He rarely struck out. How much of our APH is a function of the 5% of acres that don't produce? 3rd growing season since putting small sandy zones into CRP. Batting average going ⬆️ Bonus will be my son yelling #rooster

This spring we added some butterfly milkweed to our flower beds. Today we’ve found 5 monarch caterpillars snacking on them. We’ve had fun observing them and are amazed how much and how fast they eat!

Update on our #riparian #grazing project, first photo is from the last day of the high intensity short duration grazing on May 22 and the second was today. The early grazing and long rest allows the riparian vegetation to stabilize banks and trap sediments during high flows.

Today, choose to remember high winds combined with dry, uncovered fields. Remember the soil blowing away and how that makes you feel. Then do something - this year - try cover crops, manage residue at harvest, get and keep cover on those fields so we don’t feel this way again
