Excellent profile by @dcexaminer’s @chriswtremo on the bipartisan groundbreaking work @Sen_Pennycuick is doing in the space of AI & child protection.
Gotta give credit where credit is due. Pennycuick is BA and works hard for Pennsylvanians.

BREAKING: NYT reports that operatives with Democratic Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign were behind the effort to find & recruit a candidate named Dan Sullivan to run against incumbent GOP Senator Dan S. Sullivan in an effort to confuse voters and peel votes from him.
Specifically, NYT says they have reviewed text messages and documents that reveal in summer 2025, a Peltola staffer received instructions from campaign staffers to find as many people named Dan Sullivan in Alaska as possible.
The staffer complied, going through voter records, and compiled a list. The operation “involved secret trips to far-flung Alaskan communities and the appearance of a mysterious Midwestern operative, who traversed the state using a fake name and made his pitch to would-be candidates over beers at brew pubs.”
Per NYT:
“The plan worked. This spring, a retired teacher from a tiny fishing village along the Alaska Panhandle, reachable only by air and sea, announced his candidacy for Senate. His name was Dan J. Sullivan.”

Brian Fitzpatrick has been a longtime champion of independent voters and governance. He's promoted reforms like open primaries, and chairs the Bipartisan Problem Solvers caucus. We hope voters in PA district 1 decide to send him back to Congress!

Pennsylvania! Go vote like solutions for your state dependent on it. Because they very well might.

Just hours after @GovernorShapiro signed a @SenFrankFarry bill into law on of all things prevailing wage. @JoshShapiroPA started running targeted 🎯 TV ads against him & @Sen_Pennycuick.
Not very bipartisan of @GovernorShapiro.
Actually a bit of overkill for a sitting governor.

New in BMJ Open: after legal recreational marijuana sales began in the West, hospitalizations for heart failure rose nearly 4% for each year of sales, heart attacks just over 3%, and atrial fibrillation just over 2%.
That's 50 million hospital records. The authors call for "a cautious approach to legalisation."
Marijuana isn't just a mental health issue. It's a heart issue too.

.@GovernorShapiro signed Pennycuick & Farry legislation into law then turned around in a matter of hours and started running negative TV ads saying they are blocking him. 🤡
Beyond being a completely erratic and irrational move it’s just a Shady Shapiro move that people reject.
