A Palestinian bride in her wedding dress was forced to walk on foot through an iron gate at the entrance to Sinjil, north of Ramallah, because Israeli forces had closed vehicle access to the town. Footage shows her being helped across the barrier while wedding cars waited on either side. This is one example of the movement restrictionsโ€”gates, earth mounds, and closuresโ€”that affect daily life, including weddings, for residents of Sinjil and other West Bank towns.

This is the Farsh al-Hawa area in al-Khalil, where clashes took place between two Palestinians and Israeli army soldiers stationed at a military checkpoint used to harass, humiliate, and detain Palestinians entering and leaving al-Khalil. Israel held Palestinian families living near the checkpoint responsible for the clashes and for failing to defend the Israeli military checkpoint!!! As a result, the Israeli army demolished their homes, shops, and warehouses surrounding the checkpoint and displaced the residents!

Today, 2 Palestinians, Hamouda Jaaba and Firas Jaaba (both 27), from the same family in al-Khalil, West Bank, carried out a shooting attack at a checkpoint near the city, killing 2 Israeli soldiers, Staff Sgt. Ron Yonatan Roytman and Sgt. Yuval Shai Svilem, and wounding 3 others (according to Israeli media) The 2 Palestinians used a vehicle with Israeli license plates and were killed by Israeli army soldiers after a 20-minute gunfight, according to Israeli media. Netanyahu ordered al-Khalil sealed and a full lockdown of the West Bank, while Ben Gvir called for dismantling and disarming the Palestinian Authority. Following the shooting, the Israeli army imposed a complete lockdown on al-Khalil and surrounding villages, deployed reinforcements, closed roads, and began military operations inside the city. The Israeli army has begun demolishing Palestinian houses near the site of the shooting attack near al-Khalil, after Finance Minister Smotrich ordered their demolition. Hamas military wing, Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obaida: โ€œWe commend the heroic al-Khalil operation carried out by the brave members of our people in the occupied West Bank.
