England v Papua New Guinea
France v Lebanon
Fiji v New Zealand
Samoa v Tonga
What a final week of the group stages we have in store!
Anyone taking a punt on Cook Islands to sneak one over Australia?

(1/2) Some may ridicule this, but what the hell
France are not as bad at Rugby League as their last two scorelines. The fact is the majority of their squad arrived exhausted following their first super league campaign.
Exhausted mid-table SL players v NRL stars. No contest.

If England are playing a series against New Zealand next year, they need prep, they 100% have to play a warm up match. Super League should be having an international break every year.
I’m a big believer in the Super league Exiles concept. My potential 2027 line up.

AJ Brimson goes over for another superb @England_RL try 🏴

🏴 England have done about as much as they reasonably could in pursuit of a semi-final place.

First win for England since beating Samoa in 2024.
Nobody played a bigger part in today's demolition job, than AJ Brimson. His carries through the French line to set up multiple tries, the ditch defence and sheer workrate across the pitch. Leader of the pack.

I think France always knew this world cup would be painful for them. Their last meaningful test before this comp was way back in 2023.
Worth saying that most of their squad have come from their first super league campaign and are exhausted.
They need more games and investment.
England have given themselves a fighting chance of making the semi-finals. What a response from last week!
And nobody has deserved a try more today than AJ Brimson! He was England's best player last week in a losing cause against Tonga. He's been sublime today in the ultimate demolition job!
England 82-0 France. What a response from last week this has been #RLWC26
Another try for England. 70-0 now. Jack Welsby given a free run-in. You Know Who with another run through the line, with the assist! #RLWC26
And France, I'm now convinced, are helping England out with a generous kick to Dom Young, who runs its home for another try.
Northern Hemisphere Solidarity. Things we love to see

And now its Mikey Lewis' turn to get a try in the corner! Another try for England, another try set up by a brilliant run through the line from Brimson.
England 58-0 France.
We need less than 100 points now over the next game and a bit!
50 up for England - another sharp run through the middle by Brimson, and has Litten on his shoulder to scuttle away under the posts!
Ultimate sucker-punch to France, who were having a good little period up to that point.

Try of the first half, for me. Brimson's jinking run to cut the line open, then Ashton with the turn of serious pace to get around the outside of Arthur Mourgue. Fabulous stuff!
England 36-0 France at half-time. A crazy 15 minutes before the break with all 6 tries scored. Herbie Farnworth with a hattrick. Everyone take a breath!
We still need to find around 114 points over the next game and a half. Need Tonga to thump Samoa next weekend
#RLWC26
Another trio of tries! Can't remember the last time I've seen England play so freely. Probably not since the days of McNamara's tenure.
It also helps that the majority of this French team are exhausted from the season (majority have come through their first SL campaign)

England tries are like buses. You wait around ages for one and then 3 of them come along at once. Young, Ashton, Farnworth, and some brilliant running rugby.
18 points down...just 112 to go to reach the semis!
