This is a brilliant video by the Green Party that I think is fitting to leave at the top of my paused account.

If a man of Musk’s low-intellect, addled brain, insipid humor, and gross, self-gratifying misogyny were not the richest person in the world, then the world would not be subject to his indignity. theguardian.com/commentisfre…

Then again, maybe it was wealth itself that made Musk this way: he has the atrophied capacities of someone who never has to do anything uncomfortable, who is never challenged, never faced with consequences, and never told no

The first time Charlie Chaplin spoke onscreen, he implored the people of the world to resist the rising tide of fascism. Nearly 90 years later, it remains a timely message.

Trip to London. An hour late on Thursday. Now on the 1430 coming back and its so crowded there are 30+ people between carriages. No room to sit on the floor. Thanks Great Western Railway @GWRHelp

This is a great example of working together, so whilst ⁦@BristolCouncil⁩ acknowledges the road closure in Bedminster will cause inconvenience, I am grateful for the work to reduce it from 21 to 2 days thanks to joint works news.bristol.gov.uk/press-re…

On Nextdoor: Has anyone had their bike stolen or know anyone that this might belong to? I found it in Victoria Park this morning abandoned with another bike. @Totterdown_ @EdPlowden @BristolCycling

It is not true “England cannot effectively subsidise travel costs”. Retired people get free travel. By freezing the fuel duty escalator we are subsidising car drivers, which compounds inequality. See more here bettertransport.org.uk/media… bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce9d…

The richest man on earth owns X. The second richest man on earth is about to acquire TikTok and his family could soon own both Paramount and Warner Bros. The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post. See the problem here?

I think we need to remember that @UKLabour ran on a platform of protecting nature and green spaces. They do not have a mandate for removing essential environmental protections which is exactly what their proposed planning bill does. It’s amazing to see how much has changed ⬇️

I am really pleased to support this campaign and to be a joint signatory with @carla_denyer.
Today the BBC reported on asylum seekers relying on home office-funded taxis to get around. But as I heard when I visited @BristolCoS, this isn't the reality for many - it's being forced to walk for hours to get to appointments, sometimes with kids, or miss out on essentials
