Thousands are speaking their mind about this short clip despite it likely being half-fiction made in the editing room
Along with many falling for the "idiot spring breaker" trope for the 30th consecutive year
It was bothering me, so I decided to make a PSA to get it off my mind
I have a strong suspicion people who ragefully post only political partisan things delete their accounts because they aren't people.
But nobody ever follows up!
A week after people got so scared by hantavirus they wouldn't let ships dock temporarily, this story was forgotten.
Of course
In the end, the fairly obvious conclusion the few people who got it didn't get it from a rat infestation on the ship proved true.

Replying to @DroneAged @DrNeilStone
I kinda got tired of this perma-contrarianism by 2023, so I'll just wait a couple months until the evidence is clear they didn't all get it from rodents on the ship.

Trump was a tiny bit right. A tiny bit.
The US is the closest nation to be able to afford 💯 macroeconomic autarky (self-sufficiency)
Imports only 15% of economy
Brazil, Argentina, China are next closest
HOWEVER
Taxes: AT BEST federal income tax↓20%
GDP: growth↓5% over 10yrs
Bill Clinton on Trump:
I've known President Trump a long time. We used to have quite a friendly relationship 24 years ago. We'd play golf.
He kept saying, "We're the biggest, strongest, richest country in the world. Why don't we just put a bunch of tariffs on everybody else and stop paying taxes altogether?"
I said, "Well, because, Don" — he was Donald then, not Mr. President — "because these people don't just eat the tariffs. They just charge the people who buy the stuff, whatever it is. So we pay the tariffs."
And he, just like now, didn't hear what he didn't want to hear.

But also long-running issues.
Teachers who leave have an 7-8.5x greater chance of advancement, better environment & influence over it than the opposite, 6x prestige, 4.7x work/life balance
Better in all but job security

1. I often got account flags for 🤷🏻♀️ from 2024. I starting engaging in political topics, Gaza war, & blocked Elon. Still don't know what did it. Commenting too often? Bad post/comment ratio? 🤷🤷

I'm so glad I took a break from Twitter.
Don't waste your life on this stuff.
Anything else in your life is more important.
If you live with your parents playing video games 12 hours a day, that would still be a more important use of your time than this debate.
1. I'm sure cultural shock & disappointment happens anywhere Americans move to & includes immigrants going to the US
Happens w/paradise destinations like Hawaii too!
2. I doubt these exp represent >⅕th
3. I'm sure regrets are far far less prevalent than those who ran to Russia
The internet told them Europe was a social paradise. Turns out the trains are awful, the health care isn’t free, and people can be really mean. buff.ly/5cLtnha

Estimate the difficulty, thus time. It's not hard to separate a 5min task from a 5sec one

Workers should already be doing these Pomodoro-like breaks!
So, interesting fact, the lost data center water is evaporated water, so it is distilled water—one of the purest kinds of water one can drink at 99.99% pure.
You'd need lab grade double/vacuum distilled (99.999%) or ultra pure (99.999999%) water to drink better.
I've never liked simplifying a very diverse population into only 2 partisan boxes. Party ID data backs me up a lot on this now
Are Dem coal miners & GOP environmentalists a specific type of person? That'd be a great qualitative study! It's long past time to have some granularity
Partisans are highly segregated by workplace--the effect is similar in size to gender segregation at work.
Museums and environmental organizations have the fewest Republicans, gas pipelines and mines have the most Republicans.
Historians are most likely to be Democrats, drill operators are the most likely to be Republicans.
Political Segregation is largest among the politically active and those with more market power (senior executives).
Republicans experience higher exposure to Democrats at work: the average Republican’s coworkers are 50% Democratic versus 32% Republican for the average Democrat.

Many possible ideas to improve community engagement and DC construction, but there is still little indication of any slump in hyperscaler/DC construction.
It's a lot of bad polling and screaming on X, but the rate of construction is increasing if anything.
This is over 53 @Scaramucci s. It's probably a record!
No controversies, not even a story about swallowing over 35 sticks of gum per day. Less hated than Kellyanne Conway. Young enough people will forget and she can rebrand quickly.
Good for her, actually.
BREAKING: White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, the youngest person to hold the role, will leave at the end of the month, President Trump says. apnews.com/article/trump-pre…
Since the 1980s, it's been a cliche for middle-class to say they're going to Disneyland/world *only after* a big success or💰windwall.
It's never been considered cheap.
Even tho 30hrs of two parks costs less than many 2hr concerts. And SoCal residents can go 200x/yr for $599 🤷♀️
Egypt's solar eclipse next year may be more epic.
Still can't top what the Artemis crew saw, those very lucky few :(
YouTube's algorithm served me up
@CountBinface 's latest album yesterday.
