using government calculations for climate harm, burning Jackdaw's gas will cause an estimated £16.1 billion in global damage and over 8,000 heat-related deaths. all of this for 27 jobs and no impact on gas prices. no other way to describe this than an act of violence.

Remember that the reason Reform and the Tories keep hoping for an early general election is because they're worried that a significant percentage of their voter base will have died of old age by 2029.

The ULEZ and the electrification of public transport has transformed London from “the Big Smog” to one of the cleanest major cities on the planet. This has saved thousands of lives. And to think, the right-wing campaigned vigorously against this.

Just had four "Christians" try to tell me that C.S. Lewis would have killed his own family members for endorsing a film adaptation of his book directed by a woman featuring another woman as Aslan. This isn't going to go the way you think guys.
Replying to @BigDickBarclay
C.S. Lewis, a devout Christian, would not in fact have killed his own family with hammers. Or anyone for that matter.

Evil scientist alert! Somebody is laying the groundwork for killing penguins. Somebody said that about elephants in South Africa that led to killing hundreds of elephants.

In retrospect it’s kinda crazy that if Harambe smashed that kid’s head into a concrete wall and left him for dead, he might have lived, but because he continued to play with the child he lost his life. Altai, being an apex predator, didn’t mess around, and then it was too late.

My understanding is that's pretty much how it went down with the tiger. By the time the zoo's trained person unlocked the gun cabinet the tiger had already lethally injured the guy. So he fired a warning shot and the tiger ran off.

It's a fucking zoo in Yorkshire not Jurassic Park. What did you expect someone on a watch tower with a high powered rifle just waiting for this very situation? 😂😂

I genuinely don't know how this happened. When I visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park I was impressed with how high the fences were, even commenting that it would be impossible for someone to "do a Harambe", and yet here we are. Fortunately the tiger is safe and unharmed ♥️🐅
