I'm the only US citizen in my cohort here in Geneva, and I've been asked *eight times* about how things feel in the US. I feel like I need to put together a presentation lol Key Points: 1. It's really *that* bad 2. The election will be close; should Dems gain control, nothing will be improved, but they can stop worse stuff from happening, and if dems lose, it'll be their own fault (again) 3. No, we don't really have a candidate for 2028 yet, and the people the party and media are pushing are non-starters for a fifth of our party 4. No, were not all like that, BUT there's enough of us who are like that these people keep winning (and no, it's not *all* because of gerrymandering). 5. The electoral college is a remnant of slavery, it's wrong, the country overwhelmingly wants to abolish it, but like term limits and other popular measures, congress will never do it. 6. No, Mamdani can't run. We're all sad about that.
