This is great both because it's well done and because I ended up with rankings I like way more than the committee's. I can officially say, to hell with the "Hey, they have a hard job" stuff. They just stink at it!

I think it’s because of our tradition of being dominant and better at football than Notre Dame but open to thoughts
Someone help me understand what Indiana has done that warrants being ranked 4 while the Irish sit at 11? Indiana has beat nobody and struggled every week. Yikes. This is pretty rough work.

It’s October 31st. College Gameday is in Assembly Hall with a packed crowd. No guest picker has been announced yet. “Many men” starts playing. Tyrese Haliburton rappels down from the rafters onto the stage. He picks IU to massive applause. Hoosiers beat Minnesota by 50

Notre Dame has won 14 straight games, its 3rd-longest win streak since the program’s last national championship in 1988 ☘️ Luck of the Irish? Not quite... All 14 wins have come by double digits, the longest active streak in the FBS and the longest in program history 😤

Why isn't Indiana running back Turbo Richard being discussed as a Heisman FAVORITE? 63 attempts, 587 yards, 9.3 avg, and 5 touchdowns. Richard runs around, runs by, and runs through defenders. One more stat: 12 of his 63 carries went for 15 or more yards to date, 19%.

Last time Nebraska fans said we’d struggle to run the ball on them
Indiana RB Turbo Richard is clearly the best RB in the BIG10. Nebraska faced him in the Boston College game. He had 7 yards on 4 carries. To have any shot at winning, Nebraska will need to slow him down.

Wanna review the defending National Championship Alabama team from 2021? Bama won the title after the 2020 season. They entered 2021 ranked #1... even though they lost 6(!) players in the 1st round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Those players included the following: 1/?

LSU was supposedly great because they blew out Clemson. That's the same Clemson who is 64th in FPI efficiency with the 109th ranked offense in college football. By the transitive property, Ole Miss was supposedly great because they beat LSU at home. Florida was supposedly great because they handily beat Ole Miss (42nd in FPI Efficiency) at home, and Florida got talked about as a likely playoff team by a bunch of pundits. Missouri will now get sunshine-pumped in the polls because they blew out Florida at home - the same Florida that is 77th in FPI defensive efficiency. (By the way - Florida's chances of making the playoff are now lower than Nebraska or Northwestern. I have a sneaking suspicion that won't be brought up by very many people) Alabama's offensive dominance has been racked up against the 30th, 35th, 44th, 82nd, and 91st rated defenses. Kentucky's two SEC wins are by a total of 11 points against the 40th and 57th teams in FPI efficiency. Baylor beat Arizona State on the road by a bigger margin than Texas A&M beat Arizona State at home. Nobody launders overrated wins into undeserved AP votes quite like the SEC.
