Midhuam presents himself as a man of integrity, always pointing out corruption and poor governance. Yet when his personal interests are involved, he stays silent.
A few weeks ago, he tweeted about a project that had been awarded without an open bidding process. He complained as though it were a major corruption scandal. But when Rotime Engineering was awarded the project to redevelop the Addu Link Road, he said nothing. Guess why?
Because Rotime operates a Chinese restaurant at Asseyri Guest House in Maradhu Feydhu. The shareholders of the guesthouse are Midhuam’s brothers, Mauman Saudh and Muthau Saud.
In principle, there is nothing wrong with awarding this project to Rotime, as the company is perfectly capable of delivering it. But this shows Midhuam’s hypocrisy: he chose to remain silent on this matter because of his personal interests.
In part 3 we will bring irrefutable evidence of Midhuam taking money looted from the state coffers.

މީގެ އިތުރުން ޓޫރިޒަމާބެހޭ ޤާނޫނުގެ 8 ވަނަ މާއްދާގައި ބަޔާންކޮށްފައިވާ ގޮތުން ޓޫރިސްޓް ރިޒޯޓެއް ކުއްޔަށް ދޫކޮށްފައިވާ 99 އަހަރުގެ މުއްދަތު ހަމަވުމުން، އެރަށެއްގައި ކޮށްފައިވާ އިންވެސްޓްމަންޓެއްގެ އަގުން ބަލަށް ކެނޑުމަށްފަހު ޖެހޭ އަގު އިންވެސްޓްކޮށްފައިވާ ފަރާތަށް ސަރުކާރުން ދައްކަންޖެހޭ.

HDC Chief of Real Estate Saneeh & 3 board members (Ibra, @Azhartu & Arif) have stolen 20 million MVR worth of construction materials and machinery and sold it to Rome Pvt Ltd on 15 Dec at 8.30 pm.
The materials & equipment belonged to water theme park developer Waterfront Hotel and Leisure Pvt Ltd.
This theme park site has been closed to everyone due to an on going court case. But Saneeh brought Silver Sands Pvt Ltd to site on 15 Dec at 8.30 pm to extract all materials and equipment and sold it to Rome Pvt Ltd. They did a bank transfer.
Some of the materials and machinery include excavator, crane, lorry, container, bricks, paint etc. They are all splitting the money, and giving a commission to Silver Sands.

So he’s saying that Rasmale deal should not be debated on religious or anti-Zionist grounds. And that it should not be the central concern and that public debate should instead focus on the agreement's commercial terms, which, unlike Eagle Hills' ties to Zionism, can be renegotiated.
In effect, he is trying to persuade the public that Zionism is not a legitimate basis for demanding the agreement's termination.
