We've spent years being the people at the table who say "well, actually…" about a variety of topics. So we made it a podcast. Well, Actually… launches next month — taxes (obviously), books, AI, and tech reviews of the software and gear we actually use. The apps, tools, and hardware that either earned a spot in our workflow or got returned. And whatever else is on our minds. The premise is simple: we politely correct the record, and we bring receipts. At least one well-sourced "actually" per episode. It's for people who like being right, but care more that the information is right. And who think "I don't know" is a perfectly good sentence — as long as the next one is "let's find out." @ShannonHallEA and I, starting August 2026.

IRS OPR issued informal guidance on the Circular 230 and §7216 implications of AI for tax practitioners. Nothing is shocking -- but we now know this is on OPR's radar. A practitioner cannot outsource their professional judgment to an AI tool, must have competence before using AI in their practice, and must zealously safeguard client data.
