The strength-based approach of LAC has “inverted a narrow focus on finance to one of abundance”. Thank you @joemicheli94 & @jennieLACYork from @CityofYork for sharing your experiences of such success. #preventionwebinar #strengthsbased #placedbased @uniofhull @sheffielduni

Truss claims she believes that the British public "know best how to spend your own money, to get on in life, and to realise your ambitions"... sounds good, how about devolving power & funding to communities then? #ConservativePartyConference #CommunityPower

Well worth a read. Highlights that effective/widespread mobilisation needs organisation. Question it prompts for me is that lessons/recommendations have been made in nearly every report I’ve read about voluntary action - but does policy and practice change? #volunteering

Taiwan has under 1,000 deaths from #covid in a country of 23 million people, says @audreyt. Astonishing to a British audience where our official death toll stands at 165,000 people. A more effective response with public participation & trust was always possible #StrongerThings
