🚨2026 Is the Gasoline Price Election, Not the Data Center Election My new piece at the @DailyCaller has all the details. Key points: ◾️Obama urged Democrats to center 2026 midterms on data centers, but voters have other priorities. ◾️Obama’s bait-and-switch: In mid-September, he told candidates to seize on data center issues as the campaign centerpiece. He warned growth “in private hands” could be dangerous if unchecked, yet called it beneficial for drug development and a “clean energy future.” ◾️It's a classic Democrat play: stoke fear for power, then flip once in office. ◾️Data centers are a non-factor: A new Infrastructure For America report shows the issue is nearly invisible in key governor and Senate races (GA, IA, OH, MI, TX). Only 5% of paid ads mentioned data centers. ◾️Healthcare (19%), affordability (25%), and corruption/personal attacks (32%) dominate. “If this is the data center election, then someone forgot to tell the campaigns… spending millions on TV advertising.” ◾️The real driver is fuel prices: Gas is up ~40% and diesel has doubled since late February, mainly due to the Iran Conflict. The cause is unambiguous, so voters face a clear tradeoff: is denying Iran nuclear weapons worth the pain at the pump? ◾️Possible midterm fallout: Independents and some Republicans may conclude prices are too high and, as Scott Jennings put it, “put my face in a woodchipper and elect Democrats.” Dems could flip Congress and several governorships on Nov. 3—but not from astroturf data-center opposition. It will be because gasoline and diesel prices are too damn high. Voters prioritize filling their tanks over abstract fights about AI infrastructure. Affordability always matters; this year’s spike makes it decisive. [Link to full story in the next post.] #gasoline #Diesel #datacenters #trump #Iran #Ukraine #Russia #refining

🚨Energy reality trumps energy absurdity as #EU prepares to lift ban on new gas powered cars. The EU’s effective 2035 ban on new gas and diesel cars is collapsing under pressure from industry, jobs, and basic physics. Negotiators from the three big Parliament groups (EPP, S&D, Renew) have agreed to scrap the 100% CO₂ cut requirement that would have ended new combustion-engine sales. Key points: ◾️ Target drops to ~87.5–95% reduction vs 2021 levels; green-steel credits can lower the effective cut further, so pure ICE and hybrids remain legal after 2035. ◾️ Fleet-average rules (not per-car) mean manufacturers can still offer petrol, diesel, and hybrids as long as the overall mix meets the softer goal. ◾️ EPP leader Manfred Weber: “The ban on combustion engines is off the table. Good news for hundreds of thousands of workers in the European car industry.” ◾️ Driven by VW, BMW, Mercedes and others warning of Chinese EV competition, collapsing margins, and unrealistic timelines. The original plan was policy theater: demand an instant, total switch while ignoring energy density, infrastructure limits, grid realities, and consumer costs. Reality is winning. Europeans will keep the freedom to choose engines that actually work for their lives, distances, and budgets instead of being forced into an EV-only straitjacket that the market and physics rejected. The 2035 cliff edge is off the table. That’s not a setback for the climate; it’s the end of an expensive fantasy. carup.se/eu-river-upp-forbud…

This will not bode well for Ds in any state with a large Hispanic population.
Yuma County, AZ One of the early tells, in my opinion, the GOP is going to hold a lot of its Latino gains. One of just 2 counties in AZ currently sitting right of registration by returns. It’s at R+6.4% in returns while registration is R+5.8%. The other counties (minus one) are moving right at the moment but still left of registration because high prop whites ran to get ballots in immediately, causing a game of catch up. There are practically no “high prop” whites in Yuma, leaving it to run right of registration immediately and suggesting to me that there is solid R voter engagement and apathy among Latinos for Democrats. FYI, Yuma County is 67% Hispanic, and Trump got 60% there in 2024. The other county currently right of registration by returns is Apache. It’s 70% Native and they seem checked out, too. If I’m right, very bad sign for Dems in other heavily Hispanic areas in AZ and beyond.

Man, @JohnCornyn, this is weak even for you. Such a sad little man you've become.
Stunning levels of delusion. Lame duck Senator John Cornyn is still in DENIAL about why he lost the Texas Senate primary to Ken Paxton. This morning on Squawk Box, Joe Kernen asked Cornyn about his defeat, and instead of acknowledging his failure to get behind President Trump’s agenda, he blamed it on the low turnout of Republican voters. He’s now suggesting that the people who voted in the Republican runoff are extremists. KERNEN: “You probably would wish you were the nominee and I’m sure that stings…” CORNYN: “Well I accept the verdict of the 7% of registered voters who voted in the runoff.” “And that’s part of our problem with our politics these days, the people who participate in the primaries…are on the extremes of either party.” So in Cornyn’s eyes, the Republican voters who chose Paxton are the problem.

Wait. Karine Jean-Pierre is French, right? Only that could explain gaslighting on such a grand scale.
You can't make this up: @EmmanuelMacron claims scenes of riots in France are AI-generated 🤯

Anyone who ever respected Chris Murphy knew nothing real about Chris Murphy.
This is a despicable comment by a once respected senator.

I will take @ElonMusk over Epstein buddies like Reid Hoffman and Mike Bloomberg any day.
Talarico: "We just found out that [Elon Musk] is almost single-handedly bankrolling this effort to install Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate and defeat this movement...Elon Musk wants our land. He wants our water. He wants his very own personal United States senator. He is trying to buy Texas."

CNN NewsNight goes OFF THE RAILS when @scottjenningsky and Leigh McGowan debate the violence in France. Like clockwork, McGowan wants to ignore the migrant crisis. Jennings: “France is suffering, and all of Europe is suffering from a migrant crisis, and there are people running wild in France, burning things down, destroying historical landmarks, looting stores, and they’re flying the colors of the Palestinians while they do it. It has nothing to do with anything other than this attempt to tear down Western civilization wherever they perceive weakness, and right now there is weakness in Europe. They have allowed this migration crisis.” McGowan: “Absolutely false. These things that happen in France are because a bunch of students started it because they didn’t like the way that the country was being run. They weren’t getting enough. It’s the same problem that we have all over the world right now. There is not enough for the people that aren’t at the top. There is not enough education. There is not enough money. We are not being paid enough for our jobs. They were French students that started this protest. Has it gotten out of hand? Absolutely. Are terrible things happening there? Absolutely…”

Casting the would-be seditionists as responsible citizens Thanks, Media Cartel™️, for living up to expectations
Hello Washington Post, Are these people in the group of 10 officials you mention? Because they're all over my files where they're working with the same ex-USAID officials plotting to rewrite the Constitution.
