-told us infanticide by drug induced psychotic females is “body autonomy”
-said our opinion doesn’t matter because we’re White men
-flooded our Nations with 70 IQ immigrants
-brainwashed our women into hating men
-dragged us into never ending pointless wars
-serve foreign special interests over your own people
If that’s “freedom” and “democracy” we don’t want it
If that makes us embracing the Dark Side of the Force then so be it

Imagine they had loved him, trusted him, and recognized his Divine Destiny

-forbid him to reproduce
-allowed his mother to be sold into slavery and viscously murdered by “sand people”
-watched the Democratic Process of the Republic evolve into a powerless stalemate
-traded Ancient Prophecy in favor of a modern interpretation thereby mocking the very Tradition they claimed to protect

I think the point of this meme is not so much that Palpatine was right as it is that the Boomers are wrong.
The truth is that Lucas clearly intended to portray the Republic as a weak, bureaucratic, and “nice” totalitarian entity that’s fall was inevitable. Saying the Republic and the Jedi were profoundly wrong is not the same as saying that the Sith are right. In fact, the whole tragedy of the story is that Anakin is sympathetic and has real grievances, but the truths are poisoned with deceit just like the Devil’s. He overcorrected, and this cost him and the galaxy everything.
The only way to save the galaxy would have been to mix the light and dark sides, which don’t stand for good vs evil so much as detachment vs obsession, apathy vs hate, paralysis vs reckless action.

I believe that the call to President Putin by the leaders of Norway and Finland was an important and positive development. Even though nothing was achieved to end the war, it is important for our survival to normalise diplomacy again. I know there are many politicians in places like Germany who recognise that we are heading towards a cliff and want to return to negotiations about the European security architecture, but diplomacy itself has become criminalised. Hopefully, this opens the door to bringing back common sense.
A key problem is that we confuse moralism with morality. Presenting all security competition as moral issues is great for moral posturing, but by presenting conflicts as a struggle between good and evil, we end up concluding that diplomacy is appeasement and that peace can only be achieved by defeating the 'evil' opponent. Moralism also stifles debate within our own societies, as opposition to policies framed as morally virtuous is automatically deemed illegitimate.
Maybe someday we will look back at this era of war hysteria and flirting with nuclear war as we now do with the Covid hysteria.
