The best career advice for young people is to just focus relentlessly on 3 things as early as possible:
1. Get skilled. Technical skills, writing skills, people-orchestration skills, everything.
2. Get involved contributing to a mission you're aligned with. It doesn't have to be pure bliss and your contribution doesn't have to match your top strengths exactly. But at the end of the day you have to feel some pride in what you did or what you learned. If you can find something like that while becoming skilled in a number of different ways then you'll find ways to increasingly wrap your skill profile around it (and you'll find/develop strengths in your skill profile that you never expected).
3. Pick up momentum. If you do (1) and (2) right then you've got direction and potential and all that's left is to sprint forwards and achieve it. The more momentum you pick up, the better you get, the more real value you produce, the more opportunities you create, the more you get noticed, the more value you capture into your own life, the more effort you want to put in... you create a virtuous cycle with so much momentum behind it that it becomes an unstoppable virtuous cyclone.

i've had days where i've gone on proper revenge spirals, between 5-7 full losses back to back within 15 minutes
those days really hurt, doing anywhere between 5 and 10% damage to the account
it can take a while to claw that back and it makes life miserable overall because you feel like you've gone backwards
those days are recoverable days, it just sucks having to do it
but when i've had back to back days like that, 3 in a row all on the one minute chart and doing upwards of 25% damage to my account within just a few days, that really hurts
especially doing that after having years of experience in the markets, it makes you question everything. i've had a few weeks like that over the years and every time it's happened, it's the lowest i've been with my trading
it's from that pain that showed me the problem in my way to success: emotional revenge spirals
it meant that i just HAD to find a way both technically and spiritually to not have those days again because consistent behaviour like that only sends the account one way
the technical rule became 2 full stop outs a day. spiritually is a much longer conversation
it cuts those days right down and eventually you find your account growing and growing without taking one giant leap backwards every now and then
sometimes it may seem like winning is hard but really, that takes care of itself. all you're doing with trading is to find a sign that the 50/50 coin flip of price going up or down from your entry is going to land in your favour. over enough trades you'll win
the key is bringing the losers down and you who is reading this, i have bad news for you
you've got some issue like the one I've mentioned above and it's up to you to identify that about yourself and ensure there's a rule in your trading from preventing you from getting in your own way

STOP BEING LAZY
Get serious. Time doesn't wait. Lock in. Pursue your goals. Walkmaxx. Read. Write. Create your own future. Choose your destiny. Build your dream body. Empty your mind. Make yourself happy. Plan long-term. Don't waste your potential. Eliminate procrastination. Make each day count. It will be worth it.
You're lazy because you have so much energy within you that you don't know where to channel all that creativity.
Find something you enjoy - because it will make your work feel effortless while leveling you up in the game of life.

I’m in love with this sentence:
“The degree to which a person can grow is directly proportional to the amount of truth they can accept about themselves without running away.”

What’s a polite way to tell someone, “I’m not discussing this with you because your entire understanding of the subject is built on so many interconnected misconceptions that correcting them would require uninstalling your current worldview and starting the tutorial from birth”?

If the bank robs you, it's finance.
If everybody robs everybody, it's decentralized finance."
Someone said this a few years ago. Still true.
