I am pleased that my company @EquineMediRec will once again be working with the @BreedersCup World Championships and I will be supporting with my team on the ground @Keeneland Racetrack in Lexington, Kentucky, next week. Six years ago in the midst of COVID the Breeders’ Cup took a chance on an Irish start-up with a vision to use technology to advance equine welfare. As our first international corporate partner their trust and support helped put us on the path to where we are today, working with leading equine organisations from the US to Australia and from Saudi Arabia to Hong Kong. I’ll always be grateful to the Breeders’ Cup for believing in us and giving my team and me that opportunity. It was great to join Ireland’s Minister for Agriculture, @MartinHeydonFG, as he welcomed EU Commissioner for Agriculture @CHansenEU to the National Ploughing Championships. It was extremely encouraging to hear both the Minister and Commissioner speak about their desire to maintain and increase financial support in the next Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) budget, recognising the vital role of agriculture in ensuring European food security, as well as its importance to the European economy and to rural communities across Europe. I was also very pleased to hear both highlight generational renewal in agriculture as a key priority. Supporting the next generation of farmers will be essential to ensuring a strong, sustainable and resilient agricultural sector across Europe.
