With zero returning starters from 2025. I’d say pretty deserving to be listed among this group.
Neal Brown has done a really good job at North Texas, now 6-2 and tied for 1st place after having to replace almost the whole team.
Brown was on my midseason list of impressive coaches: nytimes.com/athletic/7709483…

College football is such a gift.
Saturdays in the fall are precious.
Extreme ranges of emotion.
Beautifully unpredictable.
Identities that define entire regions.
Cherished traditions that cross generations.
Pride for who and what we are.
Just fabulous.
With a @MeanGreenFB bye week, I’m looking forward to seeing my @MeanGreen4Life dudes @PCobbs43 @RobertGordonJr1 and @CoachTrice8 battle it out today for some Big 12 bragging rights!
The politics around the current state of college football can be tiresome… but then you have a day like yesterday to remind you of why Saturdays in the fall are the best. A full slate of remarkable games does wonders to refresh your spirit in the greatest sport we have.
An absolute legend in college athletics and one of the nicest and most genuine people I’ve ever known. Thanks for making us all better professionals and better people @KKcards.
Nothing warms my soul like the opportunity to catch up with former great @MeanGreenFB players. @I_am_Johnson71 hadn’t been to Denton in 10 years and I’m so glad he reached out to come by and say hi. Can’t wait to get him and his wonderful family back this fall! #BabyG
There might have been some selective memory with the stories told in this group but wouldn’t want to spend the day reminiscing with anyone else! Great @MeanGreenSports ambassadors!
Just got off the phone with @MeanGreenFB legend Mean Joe Greene and he is doing well. Don’t believe clickbait. #MeanJoe
The most rewarding part of my job @MeanGreenSports is seeing former student-athletes pouring back in to current student-athletes. And they do it without any NIL compensation! Love these dudes.
Really happy for these two kids. Have watched them both develop into incredible athletes and better human beings. Happy for their families.
Inbox: Argyle's Julian Caldwell and Brody Bomar were named to the THSCA's 2025-26 5A Football Super Elite Team among 27 honorees from across the state.

Imagine watching the NFL and thinking it's better than this right now.
God Bless College Football
80 degree days in January call for a friendly Mean Green for Life Letterwinners golf game with two former @MeanGreenFB players. We left some birdies on the course.
Simply put, there is no better RB coach & leader of men than @PCobbs43. Regardless of who is in his room, he will get the most out of them & they will be developed as players and men. Glad he's finally being recognized as one of the best in the nation.

The memories in this video bring back a lot of emotion and joy for my good friends who have helped pave the way. Exicted for them to be able to show pride with the success this '25 team has given them. We all should enjoy the ride, it is a special season! #GMG
Love seeing so many former @MeanGreenFB alums beaming with pride as their kids compete in high school sports and securing their future on National Signing Day. Makes me proud that so many former players are pouring into their kids & share in their accomplishments.
Excited to welcome @coach_nealbrown to Denton. Will be the sixth head football coach I've worked with in my time here, and the future has never been brighter. Confident all my @MeanGreenFB alums will be happy to help him make the transition and keep the momentum rolling! #GMG
