🇺🇸 What a promising future Texas has!
I had the pleasure of visiting a Girl Scout troop in Killeen with Girl Scouts of Central Texas as they work toward earning their government patch. These young ladies came prepared with GREAT questions, thoughtful ideas, and even a little advocacy of their own as they made the case for their meeting space!
Many have lived in other states and even other nations, giving them unique perspectives on what makes Texas special and how we can make our state even better. We talked about how a bill becomes a law, how citizens can make their voices heard, and why getting involved in government matters.
I love seeing young people take an interest in civic engagement and learn that their voices matter. These girls are already putting those lessons into practice!
The future is bright when the next generation is curious, engaged, and ready to lead. Thank you for inviting me to be part of your journey! ⭐️

Some not so flattering memes about Susan Dell circulating, but she and her husband have committed billions to hospitals, education, medical research, and helping families in need. And if you live in Texas, you've probably benefited from their generosity whether you realize it or not.
A few examples:
$1 billion+ to UT Austin (Hook Em), including investments in medical research, scholarships, student housing, and advanced computing.
$25 million to help build Dell Children's Medical Center, plus $38 million to establish a pediatric research institute. One of the best options out there.
$50 million to help establish Dell Medical School at UT Austin.
$100 million committed to UT for Me, helping lower-income students earn college degrees.
$36 million toward Community First! Village, expanding housing for people experiencing chronic homelessness in Austin.
$42 million toward Hurricane Harvey recovery, helping devastated Texas communities rebuild.
$6.25 billion nationally to help fund investment accounts for 25 million American children.
In a world full of billionaires who seem determined to die with every penny, it's worth highlighting that the Dells have been great Texans...Americans. #txlege

Texas is pulling the financial center of gravity away from New York — and the numbers back it up.
Dallas-Fort Worth has led the entire nation with 111 corporate headquarters relocations since 2018, followed by Austin with 88 and Houston with 31, according to CBRE data. Companies are citing growth opportunities, lower operating costs, and lighter regulation.
Now the Texas Stock Exchange, which received SEC approval last year, is gunning directly for the NYSE and Nasdaq. It already has primary listings from Energy Transfer, Dillard's, Sunoco, and Texas Capital Bank — with backing from JPMorgan and BlackRock. Former Congressman Jeb Hensarling, a board member, says the exchange is the final piece of a transformation that's been building for years: "Texas has been a great place to do business for decades. But increasingly, it's a great place to headquarter your business... And really the last piece of that puzzle was the Texas Stock Exchange."
