This whole Spurs three guard dilemma is starting to get overblown. The preseason is the only time you can try unorthodox lineups to see if play styles and roles mesh. Yes, it’s right to want to give your more talented players more minutes and have them play alongside one another, but it’s clear to me that if the rotation doesn’t work, it will change! If the evidence suggests it won’t work there shouldn’t be much flak from the players, they’ll want what’s best for the team. With Harris out, this gives them more of a reason to see what a potential closing lineup/need a quick bucket lineup will look like. They can also evaluate how teams will guard them to see how well their clutch plays develop, as well as their transition and easy bucket opportunities with all the versatility/plug and play options they have.
