North Carolina Democrat LaKesha Womack, who pulled off a surprise win over Republican Rep. Tim Moore on Tuesday, is due in court next week on a felony car theft charge, per the New York Post.
She was served the felony summons at a campaign event just weeks before the election.
Yep. Just as I suspected. They havenโt changed nor learned anything.
A progressive group led by former Biden, Warren and Sanders aides has assembled a 182-page blueprint mapping out potential Democratic congressional investigations targeting President Trump's corporate allies and donors.
The document, obtained and analyzed by Fox News Digital, names Tesla, Apple, Amazon, OpenAI, Meta, Google, Microsoft, Oracle and others as targets for potential hearings. It also names Palantir's Alex Karp and Coinbase's Brian Armstrong individually. The blueprint goes beyond corporate targets, urging scrutiny of Trump's personal finances, his tax arrangements, cryptocurrency businesses and alleged preferential treatment of corporate donors.
A longtime Democratic Senate staffer familiar with the process says Democratic majorities on these committees already plan to exclusively focus on targeting allies and donors of the president, including those who donated to the new White House ballroom.

Itโs really awesome that congress flip flops every few years. That way we can see that both sides are full of shit.
Exactly ๐
Tesla has no government contracts and President Trump ended federal incentives for electric vehicles.
SpaceX contracts with the government are BOTH the best product AND the lowest price! Moreover government revenue will be less than 10% of SpaceX revenue this quarter and less then 5% a year from now.
Happy to cancel any that the government doesnโt want. Just say the word!

Our amazing lame duck Senate GOP majority is on vacation until November 9th. Then theyโll be taking another four-day vacation for Thanksgiving. Then another 12-day vacation starting on Dec 21st. You have to admire the complete lack of self-awareness and disdain for their constituents.

Pretty wild stat from my story on Jankowski
For @TheAthletic: Mark Jankowski was a bit of an afterthought when he was acquired at the 2025 trade deadline. Now, the veteran center is filling in for Jordan Staal and proving what a versatile piece he is for the Hurricanes.

Any of you who fall for the stupid DSA bullshit are just plain ignorant!
DSA leader Megan Romer has NO answer when Fox Newsโs Martha MacCallum asks where the $49 TRILLION for her socialist agenda is coming from.
Romer calls the number โmade-up.โ Then MacCallum what HER number is, and it gets embarrassing fast.
MACCALLUM: โThatโs $350,000 per household. Cancelling student debt, open borders and amnesty, Medicare for All. How are you going to pay for that?โ
ROMER: โYeah, I mean, we understand that the White House, who does not like us very much, managed to come up with some math that made us look bad.โ
MACCALLUM: โSo thatโs $47.4 trillion, Medicare for All.โ
ROMER: โYeah, itโs a made up number.โ
MACCALLUM: โYou say itโs a made up number, but it was done by economists. Your number versus their number.โ
So MacCallum throws her a lifeline.
MACCALLUM: โWhatโs your number when you add up everything on that list? What number did you come up with?โ
ROMER: โThereโs no like, one solid number because it depends on what pieces we can build in the meantime.โ
MACCALLUM: โSo just give me a basic number for your wish list.โ
ROMER: โThat number is outrageous.โ
MACCALLUM: โWhatโs your number for your wish list?โ
ROMER: โThat number is ridiculous ... Iโm not going to give you a solid number. Thatโs not what Iโm here to do.โ
The number isnโt just coming from White House economists.
Cato ran the DSA platform and found that confiscating the entire net worth of the 400 richest Americans, all $6.6 trillion of it, covers about 9% of the bill. Take every dollar of corporate profit on top of that and theyโre still $29 trillion short.
Romer is more than happy to explain how sheโll take money from the โbillionaire classโ and hand it to the working class.
But ask how much it costs, or how sheโll actually pay for everything, and her entire argument collapses.
CONTEXT: The DSAโs own estimate for its billionaire wealth tax is $3.9 trillion over ten years. The agenda costs $49 trillion. Even by their math, the billionaires cover 8 cents of every dollar.

Prediction :
There will be no Universal Healthcare
There will be no National Wealth Tax
Housing cost will keep going up
Education cost will keep going up
Healthcare cost will keep going up
Politicians will keep grifting
There will be no Data Center or AI moratorium
There will be more wars
The war on Drugs will continue
The National Debt will continue to go up
No matter which party is in charge.
Yep
Democrats now control Congress.
Republicans control the White House.
Both sides will spend the next two years explaining why the other side is preventing them from fixing the economy.
Meanwhile, Americans will continue paying their mortgages, rent, insurance, and grocery bills.
Washington has mastered the art of getting paid to blame someone else.
I'd love to see them try something new.

Governor DeSantis says young people chose socialism because the Republican alternative is crony corporatism which resembles the Soviet politburo funneling power and benefits to a handful of elites.
โIs just screaming socialism going to work? Obviously, it didn't work in this election. And why?
I think a big part of that is, what they're comparing is not free enterprise to socialism. What they're comparing is how government gets involved in business, and you have crony capitalism. So the best kind of indirect supporters of socialism are some of these corporatist Republicans who propagate these crony policies.
Because the average person seeing that would say, wait a minute, you're trying to bend the government to funnel benefits to this corporation or that industry or this. What about having a competitive market? If you have a competitive market and you truly have free enterprise, that's going to benefit small businesses. It's going to benefit individuals.
You are going to see the standard of living rise. The problem is these young people really aren't seeing that. They're seeing just a handful of companies that have an outsized influence on our economy and on our society.
And they see government policy, for example. The Republicans in Washington wanted to do a 10-year effective amnesty for big tech where states and locals wouldn't be able to provide any type of regulatory oversight over artificial intelligence. And I'm thinking to myself, what other industry gets this? These hyperscale data centers that have become very controversial, you go to places like rural Texas, these are conservative people that are just beside themselves because these things are getting, in some of these instances, they're getting no property tax.
People say they give money. Well, not if you give them tax breaks. So they're getting subsidies in some parts of the country.
Now I think it's gotten so unpopular that they know they have to pay tax and everything. But a year or two ago, it's a much different thing. So the way you're going to end up having socialism is if you don't have a clear contrast between freedom and socialism.
If it's cronyism versus socialism, there's going to be enough people who are going to choose socialism because on the surface, it seems like, well, it's government stepping in on behalf of people. Now we know a socialist society is going to be a highly cronyist society as well. Just look at how the Castro family lived in Cuba for all these decades while their people suffered.
Look at how the Soviet Politburo lived back in the day or how the Chinese communists lived. It's human nature kind of at its worst. It's a different veneer, but ultimately, it's funneling power and benefits to a handful of an elite.โ

The McRib is mostly pork shoulder pressed into the shape of ribs. Lopez Foods, one of McDonald's McRib suppliers, said in 2014 that boneless pork picnic, the lower part of the shoulder, is the main ingredient. The pork is ground, shaped in a mold and frozen.
A proposed class action filed in federal court in Chicago in December 2025 says the McRib doesn't contain any pork rib meat. It alleges the patty is ground from lower-grade pork products such as pork shoulder, heart, tripe and scalded stomach. The complaint cites a food blog and a 2011 Chicago Magazine post that cited a meat scientist on restructured meat in general. McDonald's says the McRib is made with 100% pork and the patty has no hearts, tripe or scalded stomach. On Oct 30 a federal judge let the fraud, consumer deception and unjust enrichment claims go forward.
The patty is pork, water, salt, dextrose and rosemary extract. Salt pulls protein out of the ground pork and makes it sticky, and when the patty cooks that protein sets and holds the pieces together, the same way sausage does. Rosemary extract is an antioxidant, so the fat is slower to go rancid in the freezer. In 2014 the patty used BHA, propyl gallate and citric acid instead.
The sauce is water first and high fructose corn syrup second, ahead of the tomato paste. Molasses is fifth and sugar is ninth, so the sauce has 3 sweeteners. Caramel color and beet powder are added for color.
The pickles are firmed with calcium chloride and alum. The sandwich is 520 calories with 890 mg of sodium, 39% of the daily value, and 11 g of added sugar.
