Happy Whipple day🎉! 86 years ago the 1st 1-staged pancreatoduodenectomy was performed by Dr. Allan O Whipple, and today this is a safe operation that can also be done robotically. How would Dr. Whipple have reacted seeing a robot-assisted procedure 😮? And what’s in the future?

It was a pleasure to host Professors Kuirong Jiang and Zipeng Lu from the Nanjing pancreas institute, one of the largest pancreas programs worldwide. A great cultural exchange and many ideas for a new and fruitful collaboration! 🇮🇹🇨🇳

🎉🎉 Our PhD student @F_Casciani was awarded a grant by @Fondaz_Veronesi to continue his research on early-onset pancreatic cancer. Hoping that systematic monitoring of disease trajectories and investigation of molecular aspects will help improving outcomes in younger patients

Our PhD student @F_Casciani received a grant from @Fondaz_Veronesi to establish a clinical and research program on early-onset #PancreaticCancer. As the incidence is on the rise, an increasing number of young patients are referred to high-volume centers, needing special attention
