Comrade Issa Abdulgafar (Saoty)’s revelations on that podcast are quite appalling. Although I found some of his utterances unnecessarily rude, the underlying message is clear and deserves serious attention.
Why should anyone prevent others from donating food to victims of insecurity simply because of political differences? Humanitarian assistance should never be politicised, especially when vulnerable people are suffering.
Perhaps the most disturbing part of his revelation was his admission that, as NAKSS chairman, he could not criticise the government.
