Transformation can happen at any age. Start with little steps that become lifestyle habits. In 2021 I was 43 and this was the best shape of my life at the time. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Agree with most of what you said. The key words are "they might help a little bit". It’s not about peptides. They do work. It’s about overestimating what they can actually do and, in many cases, whether the promises made about them actually live up to expectations. The whole bodybuilders vs biohackers thing is a bit overblown, I think. Sure, bodybuilders say things that can irritate biohackers, and vice versa. But if you look at the bigger picture, there’s a reason why some bodybuilders go hard at them. Bodybuilders mainly stick to bodybuilding, which is the old-school formula for getting jacked, leaner, stronger, better at exercising / lifting and staying healthy. The emphasis is on actual effort, discipline and long-term planning, without relying on shortcuts and quick fixes as the first resort. Good coaches with a bodybuilding background can get people into their best shape without drugs or with minimal drug use. By ‘in shape’, I don’t mean just muscle gain, fat loss and aesthetic changes, but also performance in the gym and general fitness. It has nothing to do with trying to make every lifestyle client look like a bodybuilder. By ‘old way’, I mean putting lifestyle changes first: nutrition, training, daily activity, good sleep and recovery, etc. PEDs and peptides come much later in the hierarchy if at all. Biohackers are biohacking, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. There’s value in it, as long as they’re genuine and know what they’re talking about. I know and respect many biohackers on X. They’re very knowledgeable and know more about biochemistry than I do. I also talk to some of them in my DMs. But some 'biohackers' and there are like legions of them, with new ones emerging every day... tend to cross the line and step into bodybuding space, with the promise actually get people jacked or in shape... Again, some might feel qualified to do so, but the line is crossed when they start suggesting they can do a better job than actual bodybuilders. Especially when they don’t have much proof of work themselves, either through their own physique or the results of clients they’re supposed to get in shape. Writing about hardcore steroid profiles like Tren, designing a ‘blast’ for their audience and telling people that bodybuilders often don’t know what they’re doing might give some biohackers their little dopamine hit… But bodybuilders are visual creatures. If someone promotes all these drugs using scientific language and speaking from a position of authority, it would be nice to see some great results with the people they offer their help to. I don’t see that very often. As I said, some biohackers are legit, knowledgeable and honest people. But there’s also a bunch of others with ‘biohacker’ in their bio, who are best friends with LLMs, overemphasise drug use and don’t have much proof of work to show for it.

Yesterday morning, I posted about only being down 0.3 pounds from the previous Friday to yesterday for my weekly check-in with my coaches at @IronEthosX. Last night, Coach @lipstickhippiee pointed out that my Weekly Fasted Average shows I am down 3.1 lbs week-over-week. Because the app that Iron Ethos has created tracks a far larger number of stats across many categories, including daily stats and weekly averages, the bigger picture of my progress shows the full context of how my body is changing. And, as coach Mary Lydia pointed out, if the weekly average plateaus there are other levers the coaches will pull to keep my goal of reducing body fat while stacking muscle on track. If you’re looking for excellent coaches, I highly recommend the team at Iron Ethos Wellness.

People become way too obsessed with anabolics and peptides. They forget that training and diet are the foundation

1. 80 bpm - Average modern adult. Not necessarily unhealthy. But there's usually plenty of room to improve through sleep, movement, and weight loss↓

Cut at 14 weeks: we’re ready but going to deplete further before feeding up and tapering cardio. -19.4# total. Weekly fasted avg weight 210.5 —> 191.1 Wk14 -0.1#, 3374kcal, 255min LISS, 10k step Emergent sinus cold Wed that I’d kicked Sat, however re-emerged again today. Pretty depleted/worn Thu. Travel Fri to Dallas; refeed yielded solid push lift. Sun travel onward to Singapore [weight oscillation from travel/timezone/cortisol]. Muscles remain flat, a necessary step/process. Overall, this week training performance & energy hit a wall, and the cravings have escalated.

For years I was made to believe that carbs were the enemy. Not the case. Carbs aren’t the enemy. An unsustainable calorie deficit is. These four are my go to: - Potatoes - Oats - White Rice - Berries. I’m consuming about 300 grams around training and feel great. Training intensity is high. Energy and focus are improved. I’ll keep reporting results. I hope to lean out and add some mass in the next few months. Don’t skip the carbs. Especially after 50, when recovery is slower.
Carbs don't make you fat. A calorie surplus does. Cutting carbs is why you feel flat, train weak and quit by week 3. Here are 5 carbs I use to speed up fat loss, not stall it: 1. Potatoes

At Iron Ethos we understand that if you value time with family on Saturday and flourish with structured week days, a mid-week rest day with training on Saturday will never be the optimal plan for you, even if it’s the ideal plan in general.

After this weekend’s Prestige Retreat hosted by @tywoosley23, that was a lonnng flight. Late night cardio upon arrival; early morning cardio (jetlag). Lift tonight at what looks to be a sweet bodybuilding gym.

You have to earn the right to take it to the next level. If you are not executing currently with what you have programmed, increasing anything will only create a negative response. More Steps, Less Food, More Food, Higher Volume, Higher AAS......all of these things come with a cost. The cost is your ability to adequately recover and actually build new tissue. Your body doesn’t care how “bad you want it” or how fast you want to move. It only knows......are you giving me the proper environment in which it is safe/necessary to build more tissue? Creating that environment is what a proper training program consist of. You can build a pretty solid physique bulldozing your way through. At some point you will hit a wall, and progress will stop. This is the point it’s time to evaluate things. If this is you, give @ironethosx a shout. Let us help you take it to the next level. When you put all the pieces together it truly is amazing what is possible, and it’s usually very simple adjustments. Let’s get a jump start on making your 2027 body the one you have envisioned.

I started iron supplementation a week or so ago after my most recent bloodwork. Fortunately, after my PCP freaked out over my iron level and told me I might have internal bleeding and/or cancer—and incorrectly said my use of TRT and other PEDs wouldn’t impact my iron and ferritin levels—my coaches at @IronEthosX looked at all my bloodwork (including past tests) in context and we put a supplement plan in place. On the one hand, I like my PCP, and he has been helpful in some ways. On the other hand, based on my discussions with him after my most recent bloodwork, it’s clear he has no clue about the impact TRT and other PEDs can have on biomarkers. Nor did he bother to do any research before calling me in to discuss my results.
People on TRT or more need to take their iron more seriously man

I would rather you be honest, than lie about being perfect. This is how we work together. Are you ready to start? We cant help while you are "thinking about it" but as soon as you decide we will get busy....the whole team.
It’s check-in day & you were not fully adherent. You’re confronted with direct questions about deviation, what do you do? The place you most struggle with adherence is the place you need the most support. Don’t pay a coach to tell you good job.
