How many foxes do we need to kill to actually help the species we’re trying to conserve?
Patrick Laurie argues we’ve moved beyond simply saying “predator control is needed”.
The harder question is: how do we deliver it effectively?

This month, #WaderTales will be ten years old.
I'm going to create a thread that highlights some of the research findings that have surprised me.
Plenty of "Wow!" & "I didn't know that!" moments.

Many wading birds are now priority birds for conservation action in the UK. How can farmers help them? FAS has a range of resources to help you manage these species on your farm, including podcasts, guides and a management calendar. #waderweek @ForWaders

LOTS!

We had this video sent in by one of our gamekeepers, how nice to see so many Lapwing nests and chicks hatching. We work together with the farmers so we can all help these birds thrive. Stones are placed close to the nest to identify where they are so they can be avoided so they are given the best chance to hatch successfully.
